Pussy Riot
What in the hell is going on in Russia, these days?
A band called Pussy Riot gets thrown into prison for 2 years for singing a song that Putin did not like!
Garry Kasparov tried to get into the court room, but was unable because of the crowds, but then some thugs came for him and locked him up too!
Frankly, I am disappointed in the tepid response the Obama Administration had to say about the whole thing calling it "disproportionate", but even that is more than Mitt Romney dares to say.
. . . Is everyone afraid of Putin or what?

Government Control
No!
It it is not, you dumb ass.
A cat fight is between cats and is brief and then it is gone.
These girls are human beings and are going to be in prison for a long time for the major crime of singing a song that Putin did not approve of.
Then, Garry Gasparov then gets hauled off to jail by thugs for just being there.
Something is very wrong in the world when this sort of injustice happens and is allowed to happen by governments that are not willing to stand up to these dumb-shit petty dictators that think they can control the people through fear.
. . . That is how terrorists operate, not legitimate governments!

Lighten up dumb ass! It's just a play on words, pussy riot.... cat fight, get it?
Putin is a monster. I despise him. Obviously this is a travesty. You lefties have always been the ones playing footsie with the Ruskies. Even as recently as several months ago, Obama told Medvedev to let Putin know that he was going to cut back on our missile defense system after the election, when he had more flexibility.

Pussy Riot is a female, punk rock group distinguished by their loud colors and political lyrics. They staged a topless protest earlier this year in Moscow (while there was still snow on the ground) and they got arrested, not for singing a song, but for where they sang the song. They took over the pulpit in the official church of Russia. This happened months ago. I'm glad that some others finally took notice. There have been other protests in Russia (including topless ones) and Gary Kasparov has been in the middle as a possible political candidate.

FastGoon, Obama isn't afraid of Putin, he's jealous of him. Watch what happens if Obama gets a second term.

Powder Keg
Sure, I suppose it's easy to laugh when it's not your ass that's being thrown in prison for singing a song that the dictator did not like.
Personally, I find this sort of injustice in today's world very disconcerting.
You get some over-inflated self-important dictator throwing part of the world out of whack because of his idiotic whims and the rest of the world does not want to be drawn into a fight that does not directly concern them.
People are afraid to call him on his bad behavior because he might turn on them too!
We have seen this play out before on the world stage when a mad dictator keeps pushing the boundaries and the people keep burning with indignation until the the fuse to the powder keg finally reaches the point of explosion.
. . . So guess what happens next?

FastGoon, Obama has that authority! And you support him! You also support him having that authority!
You are describing Obama, and you have endorsed his tactics of lying and cheating if it means he gets re-elected. You yourself stated that the end justifies the means if the end is re-electing Obama.
Get off your goddam high horse about Putin. You support Putin Jr. in our own country.
What is wrong with you?

Condemnation
You are one fucking ignoramus if you can equate President Obama to Putin, even in your 4 cylinder brain old geezer!
I support President Obama, in general, but I did say that I was disappointed in the very tepid response his Administration made regarding this incident calling it merely "disproportionate", but then even that luke-warm warning was more than Mitt Romney dared to utter.
Why is everyone afraid of that petty dictator that they cannot speak their mind when he commits these blatant atrocities?
The Cold War sputtered out when Russia collapsed, but Putin has somehow managed to remain in power even if only behind a puppet regime.
. . . I would expect President Obama to call a security council together and condemn this action and call for these girls immediate release and show Putin that he has exceeded his bounds and the world does not approve and will not abide!

People like Fast Gun think that they will be at the right hand of Obama and not in the camp. Typical guard mentality.

You are certifiably insane, FastGoon. You would support every move Putin made, had it been Obama making those moves in the US. You have already supported Obama having that same authority, and you have already stated that there are no rules so long as Obama is re-elected.
Your outrage at Putin is hypocritical at best. There must be an Obananobot in your brain causing you to have these ridiculous outbursts. You make no sense, and are completely inconsistent with the behavior you condemn in Putin, yet allow in Obama.
Get an MRI immediately, then get that thing removed so you can at least be wrong when thinking your own thoughts, instead of the thoughts they make you think.

Saddam Hussian - Iraq?
What was your position on throwing that petty dictator out?
How about Muammar al-Gaddafi, Hugo Chavez, Kim Jong Il, Than Shwe, Hu Jintao, Robert Mugabe, Crown Prince Abdullah, Teodoro Obiang Nguema, Omar Al-Bashir, Saparmurat Niyazov, Fidel Castro, King Mswati III.....where do you draw the line?
Wheres the outrage? Every single one of these petty dictators has/had human rights violations and injustices against the people of their respective countries.
