EVERYBODY KNOWS NEWT WOULD DESTROY ODUMBO IN A DEBATE....NEWT CAN'T RESIST TAUNTING ODUMBO! FUNNY VIDEO! HA! HA! HA! HA! HA! HA! HA! HA! HA! HA! HA!
Newt Gingrich To Obama: Let's Debate, You Can Use Your Teleprompter
"I already said that if he wants to use a teleprompter, then it would be fine with me. It has to be fair. If you [were] to defend ObamaCare, wouldn't you want a teleprompter?" Gingrich asked.
"Now, just for a second I'm going to go in the detour and I'll try to explain why I've been and he'll say yes. There are two reasons. The first, is ego. Can you imagine him looking in the mirror? Graduate from Columbia, Harvard Law, editor of the Law Review journal. [Against] the greatest articulator in a Democratic book?"
"How is he going to say that he's afraid to be on the same podium as a West Georgia College teacher?" (produced by Shark Tank Media, LLC)

Repost:
Gingrich can be a fire-eater before a friendly audience, but he has a history of turning conciliatory when he has to deal with actual Democrats. Recall his embarrassing tributes to President Clinton during the days when Clinton was eating Gingrich’s lunch in budget negotiations....and Kerry got the best of him in debating carbon emissions...here is the video of the debate.....
http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...74520095835803#
That being said, I dont' think Obama would agree to debate Newt one-on-one in a Lincoln-Douglass style debate.....even with Newt's offer to let Obama use a teleprompter.
It would be great theater to watch Obama try to defend his failed administration without the help of a sympathetic media anchor to intervene - Obamacare, $1 trillion wasted stimulus, Van Jones, EPA over regulation, Boeing attack, Keystone cancellation, Ohio shale, food stamps, $15 trillion debt, 9.1% unemployment, $100 oil, etc.....I wonder what the over/under number on Obama saying "Bush's Fault".......

WhirlWay how would Gingrich defend his major Flip Flops: He was for Global Warming- even made a commercial with Pelosi- he at one time wanted a mandate for Health care- he was for Cap and Trade- as well as the Bailout of the banks. Also, don't forget he was for the Ryan plan than back away from the Ryan plan. New was for a No Fly Zone in Libya than against it. Newt will not stand a chance against Obama in the General
Election- waaaaayyyyyy tooooo much baggage.
http://mediamatters.org/research/201003240027
Here is a video in 2005- a mere 6 years ago where Newt wanted a mandate for anyone making over 50k to have a mandatory Insurance coverage just like Obamacare lol: http://www.theatlanticwire.com/polit...mandate/45520/ So WW how is he going to attack Obama on Obamacare?

Gingrich has not backed off his mandate position; so I don't see a flip flop on that one. With some of the others he will handle it just like all the other politicans who have changed their positions; and looking flexible against Obama, who has shown rigidity of governance, gives Gingrich an opporutnity to let voters see that he is willing to lead thru consensus, by moving to the center, changing his view points, etc. Unlike the current Slacker In Chief who is dogmatic.
If Newt gets the nomination; do you think Obama will agree to multiple Douglas-Lincoln style debates?

So what? Last I checked we aren't trying to elect a debater. The plain truth is that Newt has sided with the statists on numerous occasions and may be only marginally better than the communist sympathizer in the WH now.

Not my top choice; but Newt is far more mainstream than Obama. The key to structural change in American politics is electing more constitutionally conservative representatives to Congress. Right now I am on the "anybody but Obama" train.
And if a President Gingrich gets the chance to nominate judges; you can bet they will be more like Scalia and Thomas than Ginsburg, Meirs, or Kagan.

Obama can't defend his failed policies; so the Democratic plan for re-election is to attack, demonize, and polarize. And when that doesn't work, the Democratic machine will scream racism. And then when that doesn't work they will try to steal the election with illegal ballots and voter fraud.

I think he would- Obama can hold his own- both are very good debaters- I just doubt it would happen- I think they will keep the same format. Do you not think Obama is a good debater??? He did very well in all his debates against McCain who is a seasoned debater. When Obama had a summit in a room full of GOP representatives with no teleprompter he annihilated the GOP representative even FOX news stated that that it wasn't a good idea and it should not have been televised. Again Newt's character and his past issues will have him lose a lot of votes. Also, I don't think Newt will have Tea party backing or strong conservative backing based on his stance with Amnesty(which I honestly think Newt is correct), Global Warming and his Insurance Mandate.

NO, I DON'T THINK ODUMBO IS A GOOD DEBATER.....SOMEBODY WITH DOWNS SYNDROME WOULD DO WELL IN A DEBATE AGAINST JOHN MCCAIN AND ODUMBO DIDN'T DO AS WELL AS YOU REPRESENT....IF YOU RECALL, A NUMBER OF ISSUES WERE TAKEN OFF THE TABLE BY MCCAIN BECAUSE HE'S AN IDIOT AND ODUMBO DIDN'T HAVE A SOCIALIST RECORD TO DEFEND......

WW- with all due respects the economy is still much better today than it was in 2008 or 2009- that's fact- it's just growing at a snail's pace- the fact of the matter is WW is that any voter with a little sense will realize that it was the previous administration that put us into this debacle- no one in their right mind believes that had McCain won we would have UE rate down to 4%. Also, the fact that Congress has like an 18% approval rate helps Obama. The fact that in September added a jobs bills which had a lot of ideas that the public like that was not passed by Congress helps Obama. But the biggest factor is there's no alternative- you had Bachmann winning the first straw poll- but she has no chance. You than had Perry arrive on the scene- but than he gets dismantled- he can't remember 1 of the 3 departments he wants to shut down and he is running for POTUS and can't remember or doesn't know the voting age is 18 and not 21 and thinks election day is 11-12-2011 instead of 11-6-2011. You have some Pizza guy take the lead who has an economic plan that experts say will raise taxes on 84% of the poor and middle class and sexually harassed women as well as had an affair with a woman that just ended 2 months ago- wow talk about family values.
You have Mitt Romney who is part of the 1% and is the king of flip floppers and is rapidly losing steam to Newt. Speaking of Newt his past history just will turn voters away- add to his lavish line of credit at Tiffany's plus he took money from Fannie Mae. You have Huntsman who speaks very well and is very sensible and who could attract a lot of Independents yet he gets very little coverage or questions asked during the GOP debates- ditto for Santorum.

The economy and country is worse now than in 2008. Why?
Unemployment is higer.
Food stamp use is higher.
National debt is higher.
Foreclosures are higher.
The misery index is higher.
Oil/Energy prices are higher.
Homeless is higher.
Food prices are higher.
Healthcare costs are higher.
Government spending is higher.
Chronic unemployment higher.
How is it better?
Your list would be appreciated !

Lies lies and more lies- google any source you want and I will stand by word- find me one reputable economist who will say that the 9.1% UE rate that we have today is largely due or credit to Obama. If you find me that one source I will deactivate my account- in fact I have heard economist say that as much a 70 to 80% of the CURRENT UE rate is largely attributed to Bush or the collapse in 2008. When Obama took office in 2009 the UE rate was still spiraling upwards with many economist saying that it could hit anywhere between 15 to 20%.
What you are not mentioning WW is that had this administration made "bad" choices the UE rate could have hit 20%.
Govt spending higher- that's a straw man's defense- in order to stimulate the economy the govt is going to spend more- duh!
Foreclosure higher- and this happened on whose watch????
Homeless is higher- has always been higher but if you want to include homeless due to people losing their homes and not the alcholics or bum on the street than again- housing market collapse on Bush's watch.
Oil prices higher- that's not controlled by any one President- that's controlled by the World market- again are you saying the majority of Bush's years gas was cheap? Are you saying it never hit 4 dollars a gallon and even 5 a gallon in Hawaii during the Bush years. Also don't try to throw in that little one or two week period during the Bush years when gas was cheap- if you take the average Gasoline prices over the Bush years it was significantly higher than the Clinton years.
Food prices are higher- show me one Presidential term in which food prices went down across the board- do you understand how the economy
works??? Oil prices contribute a lot to food prices- weather also contributes to food prices-economic disasters in other parts of the world or natural disasters can affect food prices- those are all things no one President has any control over- are you saying if a GOP wins in 2012 that food prices are going to come down????
Healthcare prices are up- yep and I guess they were dirt cheap during the Bush years and a guess if the GOP wins and they repeal Obamacare that Healthcare will go back down to super cheap affordable rates that everyone will be able to afford.
National debt is higher- when was the last time debt went down???? How much did those 2 unfunded wars costs?????
Misery Index: Listening to the GOP clowns and you and Marshall will drive up anyones Misery
The economy has been growing(slowly) during Obama's term: http://www.tradingeconomics.com/unit...tes/gdp-growth
