Let's discuss a protocol for Videos ...
Hi All! Straight up I want to put it plain, that I'm not personally a fan of video, so I will probably miss a subtle point or so as I continue.
I have a friend who is bent on making videos with Providers. Videos are a fairly recent thing, and the "protocol" doesn't seem to be established yet as the Providers' and Clients' needs (and new rules) are still all over the map.
So far as the situation where the Provider has videos and will sell them to the Client, there's not much room for debate there; she has them, you want them, give her money, transaction complete. Most improvement that could be made here, is for the Provider to make it plain that the simple word "Video" is for stuff already produced and has nothing to do with the Client making a video of his private session.
For session videos, obviously there's privacy concerns on both sides; is Provider okay with her face being shown? My Client friend is NOT okay with HIS face being shown. But the only way to make sure that doesn't happen is for all parties to edit the video before anyone leaves the place where it was made. Ya, there's a good hour or more, non-sexy and eating up time for the Provider(s) AND my friend.
Then, what about the finished product? Many times Provider says, she keeps a copy. Friend doesn't like that, for privacy reasons, and he's already paid a premium for the privilege to video. I'm not sure why the Provider might want it - possible recourse if it gets published, comes to mind, or maybe just for advertising for herself. But in a way, if Client's paid a premium to video, then the product is HIS to own, seems to me. It might be negotiable if he knows his face isn't shown, but then we're back to that editing thing.
How it gets filmed is a whole 'nuther thing. Filming your own action a) kills the quality and b) kills the action. Can my friend bring his own cameraman? Provider hasn't negotiated with outside cameraman, and has risks associated with him being there. Does friend set up a tripod and video from a still camera? Yawn; might as well keep the pics from the ad. Does the Provider bring her cameraman? More risk for my Friend, gaps in the shots / quality my Friend is seeking, cameraman's time and costs, presumably all billable.
This old line is still an overriding rule in the hobby: "you pays yo' money and you takes yo' chances".
From the outside, looks to me like this: Provider gets a premium for the video, so Client gets to keep it, no copies. If the Provider has privacy concerns, have Client sign something legal so she can sue the shit out of Client if he publishes the video. The same document could cover his risk; Provider publishes or otherwise leaks the video to "outside parties" like Friend's girl-friend (come on dude, what's the risk there? Provider already has your phone number ...), then that document eliminates the editing concerns and extra time spent.
Alright, Ladies and Gennulmans, it's on the table. Let's give my paranoid friend a good discussion and see if we can get this Video thing off of Home plate.

as with much in this crazy sub-culture, dont overthink this!
just ask if the provider allows it, under what conditions, and for what fee.
then, either agree or decline.

My friend has played that game and it's all over the map, they tell him one thing and when he gets there it changes, like they don't really know what they want. As I said not my game and not worth the BS but I told him I'd start a thread and see where it went. TY for the ONLY response I got in 3 weeks though!

Most providers are good with their face being shown as they have their face in their ads they post. But, never take video, secretly or otherwise, without the full consent of the provider.
It is the guy's responsibility to keep his face out of the video which is why lots of times, the guy wears a camera inside either a cap or eye glasses. Putting a video camera on a tripod on the floor or table is not a good idea for anonymity. Using a cameraman is dumb in my opinion as you cannot be as intimate with onlookers.
If the provider wants a copy of the video, best thing to do is look at it together after the paid session, then decide on edits, if any, need to be made for privacy or any other concerns. If there is, do so right there if you can and then send the video to her email.
If the guy paid extra for the opportunity to video, unless it was agreed upon beforehand, he has every right to keep for himself and what he does with it is his business.
Some of these guys are so fat and out of shape, I doubt they want the video for anyone else's eyes but their own!
I have done a few videos with a provider giving me a BBBJ, but that is it. I have taken lots of pre-session pics of the provider in various role play outfits, lingerie, ect. And the provider I do that with know I do not share so I have earned their respect.

You're making this way too complicated.
1. Guy decides what he wants
2. Guy asks the girl if she's okay with that
3. Girl says yes or no
If she says yes, then yes. If she says no, then no. It's as simple as that. Tell your friend to chill out and stop letting his estrogen take over.

Many of the providers will not allow video of the entire session. Not just because they do not want some guy to put that video on a porn site, but more importantly to them, either in their ads or communications with a potential client, they say they are GFE and have lots of passion (or at least IOP). But, videoing an entire session of a provider who is not what she claims to be, then when the video is watched and she is a dead fish, going through the motions, ect., he will have definitive proof she is a liar.
You would think it would be the opposite, a paying client who may become a regular if I can make a fantastic first impression. But, the providers know that the way the programming works in this industry, a hobbyist being disappointed in a session he pays for and lets others know on a supposed intel board, the widely accepted excuse is she was having an off day and he is labeled as the hard to please asshole.

I offer video sessions and always ask ahead of time if I could get a copy. if they decline I'm ok with that that. I have a tripod, and we set it up where his face never appears. I sell content online so anytime I do a video I always ask if I can share it. their response is how I move forward. if you would like a private video for your eyes only I'm ok with that. if you would like to be my cock model so I can show you off I'm ok with that too. communication is key

One problem that you may incur is, when you let a provider know what you like, in this case, videoing a session, and you do not just go with the flow letting the provider dictate the session you pay for, then you will have a number of providers thinking and saying you are hard to please and in some instances, black list you.
Just be careful what providers you let know what you enjoy or prefer.
Whether it be videoing, taking pics, you prefer a lady who is not mentally checked out BCD, ect., when you find a provider who cares about what you like, not demand, in your session, and her actions reflect that during BCD, you have found a keeper!
