Biden approval slips to 40%, Reuters/Ipsos finds
Biden approval slips to 40%, Reuters/Ipsos finds

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. President Joe Biden's public approval rating edged lower this week and was close to the lowest level of his presidency, with just five weeks to go before the Nov. 8 midterm elections, a Reuters/Ipsos opinion poll completed on Tuesday found.
The two-day national poll found that 40% of Americans approve of Biden's job performance, down from 41% a week earlier.
The president's sagging popularity, which drifted as low as 36% in May and June, has helped drive expectations that his Democratic Party will lose control of the U.S. House of Representatives in November, and possibly the Senate as well.
Taking office in January 2021 in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic, Biden's term has been marked by the economic scars of the global health crisis, including soaring inflation.
The latest Reuters/Ipsos poll, conducted online in English throughout the United States, gathered responses from 1,003 adults, including 448 Democrats and 383 Republicans. It has a credibility interval - a measure of precision - of four percentage points.
(Reporting by Jason Lange; editing by Grant McCool)
just in time for an Obama-like historic mid term rout.
bahahahahahahhaaaaaaaaa
snick!

Poll: Biden’s Approval Rises for Third Straight Month as Midterms Loom
Biden’s approval rating rose to 44%, according to an NPR/Marist poll released Thursday, marking three straight months of increasing approval after a low of 36% in July, when crippling inflation and a seemingly stalled legislative agenda dashed Biden’s support from even his own party.

While FiveThirtyEight, which summarizes ALL polls, still has Biden well under water at 42,6% approval rate, he was at 37.5% in July.

Who cares?
Repubs never listened to #HeWhoShallBeNamed approval ratings when he was in office.
Biden already beat the highest approval of donny.
Can coast the rest of the way.
So, now it's something after the fact that the right wants to now bring up.
meh.

i'd like to hear from our fellow posters who regularly cited Trump's poll numbers if they really thought Biden's numbers would be what they are now? and why?

Still much higher than Trump's current approval rating and Trump's approval rating when he left office.

Yep. He’ll win, odds on, as long as only republicans get to vote. That’s what his sycophants keep claiming. He’s gonna win the republican nomination hands down, even from jail.

... Not onley there - but HERE as-well.
(GOOD with yer geography there, mate!)
Trump is the odds-on FAVOURITE to Win in 2024!
Biden's low approval and bad ways ruining the country
will surely lead to him NOT running.

is it? where are the poll numbers to back that up? as i recall you were notihng short of giddy posting polls of Trump's poll numbers yet now Biden's poll numbers don't matter?
show me they are "much higher" than Trump's.
and couch that post on the fact that Trump's were low before he even entered office due to the relentless FALSE negative press while Biden's were historically high based on the same false press.

Look back some pages. I posted just what you’re looking for. At the same points in time Trumps approval ratings were worse. And that was with Trump not having the remnants of Covid or a “recession”.
