Default Ariz. state Sen. Rogers says audit numbers justify decertification

https://www.oann.com/ariz-state-sen-...certification/

Arizona state Sen. Wendy Rogers (R) recently laid out her ideas on how to move forward in the state’s forensic audit. The Republican said this effort “is absolutely imperative” and she “will be fighting, fighting, fighting.”
During an interview on Tuesday, she stated there is enough evidence of fraud to begin decertifying 2020 presidential election results in Maricopa County. The audit found massive discrepancies, including over 74,000 mail-in ballots that appear to have never been sent.
Rogers confirmed the state legislature could decertify the results with a joint resolution, but would need a Senate majority vote. The Republican lawmaker said she’s confident that Senate President Karen Fann will follow through on enforcement.
“We have to finish the audit, we have to hold the Maricopa County supervisors accountable to include possibly sending them to jail,” stated the state senator. “There is already enough information to justify this.”

Rogers pledged they will get to the truth of what really happened in the 2020 elections.

Amusing the way these folks talk about "information" but the don't want anyone to see that information. Just present the information already.

Ummm, Bam,
No hard "evidence" or documents provided. Just summaries by the outfit that paid for the audit.
That's a crap presentation.

What is needed, is a precinct by precinct listing of votes and totals so a 3rd party can evaluate the new numbers. And, compare those to the registered voter counts for each precinct.

And, btw, the so called audit is still not actually finished.

I know. But Rodgers has been calling for decertification after the hearing ended. I guess she’s seen enough.

Isn’t this about politics? A fraudulent election? Yes, Rodgers is a state senator, but she’s also a veteran. I tend to give more credence to politicians who served in the military. I also have no doubt the 2020 election was rigged. I’ve seen more than enough evidence. She has too.

Sellers said that “uncertified contractors” at the Senate hearing “asked a lot of open-ended questions, portraying as suspicious what is actually normal and well known to people who work in elections. In some cases, they dropped bombshell numbers that are simply not accurate.” Cyber Ninjas isn’t accredited by the U.S. Election Assistance Commission. Its CEO has also pushed election fraud claims on social media.

wat youd say?

Independent audits were needed cause the left kept counting the same illegal ballots that we all knew were there!

It’s like counting counterfeit money. No matter how many times you count it, it’s still fake money.

“Because of their predisposition, anything they don’t see or understand, they use to further this narrative that there was something wrong with this election,”

We are more than 8 1/2 months past the election and as of today there is absolutely no proof that there was any significant fraud committed in the 2020 election. Just unsubstantiated allegations. I use the word "significant" because there have been a handful of fraudulent votes found that benefitted neither candidate in the long run.

Arizona’s result stands

Arizona’s Maricopa County, home to Phoenix, conducted a hand count audit of a sample of ballots as required by state law and hired independent firms to conduct a forensic audit of tabulation equipment. The county found no abnormalities.

But Republicans in the Arizona Senate hired a team including Cyber Ninjas, which has no prior experience auditing elections, to audit the Maricopa County results. The company’s head, Doug Logan, was part of the "stop the steal" conspiracy theories about the election that culminated in the Jan. 6 Capitol attack.

Claims arising from the audit that we’ve debunked include:

Trump said "74,243 mail-in ballots were counted with 'no clear record of them being sent.'" Our rating: False. The claim was based on confusion over the early voting process and a misuse of Maricopa County documents.

Trump said: "The entire Database of Maricopa County in Arizona has been DELETED!" Our rating: False. His claim was made after a tweet from the audit stated that the county "deleted a directory full of election databases." Three days after Trump’s claim, the head of a firm helping with the audit essentially walked back the database claim.

Trump stated: "Republican state senators" who started an audit of 2020 election results in Maricopa County are "exposing this fraud." Our rating: False. The audit is ongoing and no official findings have been released.

A post shared on Facebook claimed: "A quarter of a million illegal votes found in Arizona’s audit." Our rating: False. The claim was based on speculation by a former adviser to Trump, not any audit finding.

Separate from the audit, county election officials across the state have identified fewer than 200 cases of potential voter fraud out of more than 3 million ballots cast, the Associated Press reported.

https://www.politifact.com/factcheck...ns-election-o/

Fact check: Arizona audit chief baselessly raises suspicion about 74,000 ballots

Facts First: There is no evidence of either fraud or any significant error with these ballots, and certainly not "magically appearing ballots." Both Maricopa County and outside experts say there is a simple explanation for the gap Logan claimed had not been explained: the existence of in-person early voting. Contrary to Logan's claims, the ballot lists he was talking about include not only mail-in ballots but also ballots cast early in person.

Here's why it's entirely normal for Maricopa County's submitted-ballots list to include a significant number of votes that do not match up with entries on the requested-ballots list. After the deadline to request a mail-in ballot, which was October 23 in 2020, the requested-ballot list doesn't get updated by the county. But the submitted-ballots list does get updated after that October 23 deadline -- with the votes of in-person early voters.

Logan's suggestion of some sort of unsolved mystery was definitively debunked by Garrett Archer, an election analyst at ABC15 television in Phoenix and a former official in the Arizona secretary of state's office, who is known locally and on Twitter for his mastery of the state's elections data.
Archer explained that the county stops updating the requested-ballots list, known as "EV32," after the last day people can request a mail ballot, October 23. So ballots cast in person after October 23, Archer said, were included on the submitted-ballots list, known as "EV33," but did not have a corresponding item on the "EV32" requested-ballots list.

Archer analyzed the files and found that there were 74,241 ballots on the submitted-ballots list without a corresponding entry on the requested-ballots list -- nearly identical to the figure Logan cited, "74,243." But Archer found that more than 99.9% of the ballots in question were recorded in the submitted-ballots list on October 26 or later.

That is in line with the October 23 cut-off date Archer had previously noted for the requested-ballots list.

Trump and his supporters will continue to make these off-the-wall allegations of voter fraud that caused Trump to lose the state of Arizona and they will all be debunked.

8 1/2 months and counting.
