Working from home. Bored AF

It's nice that I am able to work from home? But, damn it's so quiet and boring. One day in and I'm already sick of it. Anyone else working at home and finding it not all its cracked up to be?

It is normal for me. I have been doing it for years. In the beginning, I would go days without even talking to a soul. I work better without being bothered and distracted. A couple of weeks and it will be back to normal for you.

Does being retired and living on pensions and investments qualify as "working from home"?

If you have trouble doing a job from the house then I would advise you to NEVER RETIRE!!!!

You must not know what real work is. What do you do at work, really now? If all you have are distractions: yo are not doing any work at all. You must have a government job.

Lol. Judgemental much? I didnt get where I am in life by not working. Nothing in my post said I was distracted. Just bored because there is no interaction with others. Judgemental? Hell yes DIPSHIT, you earned it. You got where you are because you are a lazy clown, letting others do the work for you. We know this because you said you couldn't stand to be alone without interaction with others.

It sounds like you didn't make it through high school. You surely wouldn't complete college, except in a simple stupid subject, without doing your own work.

You have to have interaction with others, or you are bored! You said it. That is what you got judged on. You do need to be with others, if you can't get things done yourself. You don't need others around to work, unless you are just plain lazy.

Judgement, live with it: everyone gets judged constantly. You just don't want to recognize it.

I can relate to the op.
- I worked a job in the '90's and spent my day standing around doing nothing. I worked outside and talked to folks but overall, it was boring doing nothing
- I worked a job in the '10's for 7 years and had no real shot of meeting folks. Rarely saw my boss and rarely got a chance of talking to anyone at work since i worked alone and what not.
- I got out of the work force a couple years ago and spend my days signing up for promos on the internet from home. Its kinda boring sitting at home but it pays the bills!

I travel for work, on the road 4 days a week. I'm highly extroverted and love going it, exploring cities I am in and meeting new people.

In short, I am losing my shit.

Bless your heart JR. You're like a little piss ant that shows up to a 4th of july picnic. A little annoying but a flick of a finger or stomp of your foot fixes that problem. Easy enough to deal with. Do me a favor tonight, probably around 8, when you turn off the tv and take your tired,old bones off to bed. When you lay your weary old head down close your eyes and ask yourself this: what would my life be like now if I had chosen to be like the butterfly that shows up to the picnic.
