Default Congratulations Betty Ford!

One day without a drink. Try to catch up to Teddy Kennedy.

A commendable lady who selflessly made it her life work to help others in a bad situation. She will be missed.

Default Teddy and Betty

Man, that's was cold.

At least she gave all of the dipwad "stars" that we all idolize a place to go when they can't handle lots of money and too much addulation.

As for Teddy, there is a chance he is sharing Jack Black with the Devil himself. But that is not for me to say.

IMHO, Betty Ford was an individual who worked tirelessly to help others overcome difficult circumstances in their lives! She should be commended for her efforts, rather than chastised!

As for the thread starter, perhaps he should consider a well deserved trip to a (ahem) clinic who specializes in working with basket cases! I would think that a crash course in Basket Weaving 101 might do him an awful lot of good!

May the former First Lady Rest in Peace!

She will..

Her husband was a good man as well as a good President.

It is not till his death that I learned just how religious & even pious he was; he did not wear his religion on his sleeve.

Pardoning Richard Nixon was the right thing to do not only for the reasons he gave, but also because Nixon was character assassinated beyond all measure over Watergate.

Ford's one fault: dumping Nelson Rockefeller, perhaps not such a good man but a good Governor and a good Vice-President, who could be trusted to handle Affairs of State more than the (then) inexperienced Bob Dole

So what?

I'm a bigger drunk than both of them put together.
