Do you trust agencies?

Back in the ASPD days mostly all I ever used was agencies because of the convenience but then after the Executive raid/scare I backed away from them completely.
Then came the whole Marco nightmare and now most recently this new SGBJ bust.

It seems at least once every couple of years there is a new agency related scare.

It only takes one pissed off agency girl to get an investigation going or get some vengeful pimp to post RW client info online.

It's true that agencies are much less hassle to book with but they also make a much bigger target.

Has this series of events influenced your decision to use agencies or not?

I don't trust agencies or indies. Both would roll on your ass in a heartbeat if it meant saving their own skin.

I've never had an agency girl call my wife because an agency girl doesn't know who the fuck I am.

Unfortunately indies know everything about you, and the hobby being what it is it's only a matter of time before a twisted provider will look up your wife, your employer, your kids.

Forget about LE in this issue. It's the other vulnerabilities that can hurt you.

Probably 90% of agencies are left totally alone by LE. SG's was targeted because LE had complaints from girls and neighbors at their incalls that there was drug use and violence going on, particularly that girls were being intimidated into not leaving. LE has better things to do than target the hobby and only acts reluctantly when so many complaints come in that they just can't ignore it anymore.

I don't trust agencies but I'm not opposed to using them. I try to protect myself by giving out very little RW information. Several times I have seen girls who use an "scheduler" and have made things easier.

If I have any suspicion about the girls not being there out of their free will, I'm not seeing them. It may be wrong on my part, but that suspicion is the reason I don't see the beautiful Asian girls that visit Austin.

I've never encountered a problem with LBD (Little Black Dress), SexyNancy's girls or scheduling through Marley for one of her girls. I give them references, which are other providers, and when arriving at the incall I park a building or two away from the actual location. I don't share real world info, not even my real name or real job or use my personal phone or personal email to contact anyone. However, I never tried SGBJ, TAE, AA, M!nt and whatever other agency is in town or sends girls to Austin. I don't know how they are collecting personal info unless they do it Like Marco did by jotting down your license plate number.

The problem isn't necessarily one of the immediate recipient's intentions, but of others who may be able to access the recipient's information without the recipient's consent.

Example:

If I'd skipped P411 membership and just gotten started by booking an appointment with NewbieFriendlyNancy, I'd end up giving her my RW info so she can verify through various background checking services that I'm not some criminal with a record of harming women.

Nancy then stores that info somewhere on a computer or in a notebook in a safe so she has some recourse and info to give the police if I go BSC and attack her in session one day.

She might not ever use that info against me, but what if someone cracks her safe or gets into her computer through a 0-day exploit?

At that point, blackmail information could be in the hands of someone with ill will towards me despite Nancy's best intentions.

That's why guys are wary of giving up their private RW info to either agencies or indie providers.

The difference I guess in your scenario is p411 is one entity, and if you see the requisite 3 newbie friendly providers your stuff is in 3 places.
p411 is in Canada, so they have no obligation to give info to U.S. law enforcement.

+1.. I've made that last point to others, and it bears repeating to newbies with information security concerns.

I have had that happen to me. What I suspect is a former incarnation of SGBJ. When I saw her later on, she told me the guy had her call me. Couldn't have been anyone else since I did text the agency directly. Only the number they supplied.

I've also been curious about using an agency. My main concern besides the privacy issues is the quality of the session since I am mostly looking for a GFE experience.

I gave real world info to several agency's over the years traveling. So far so good no problems. However in the last 5 years or so I try to stick with p411 or tell them to fuck off. That's easy to do here in Texas but P411 is weak like EECIE is weak in many parts of the country. Hobby phone and email are a must!!! Just like these dumbass providers email or text me advertising or poking me. That's all I need is my phone out and buzzing with SO looking over at it and 'peaches" says "what's up? You horny?"
