Wikileaks: treason or patriotism?
We have all heard about the metrosexual Julien Assange and his attacks on the United States. What say you hedonists? What is, if anything, is he guilty of and what should happen to him?

Not sure they can get to him, he is not in US is he? He should have an accident arranged by the CIA. The PFC should be prosecuted, life in prison, no parole. John McCain asked a valid question of why does a PFC have that much access and how could he do this without being detected. Spare me the crap about being young and poor judgment. Committ adult crime, pay adult penalty.
Even if we disagree with policies and actions of our government, no one should be able to expose the US and our troops with no consequences.

What is it?
Well the PFC is toast. The Wiki Dude is gonna be arrested and tried for rape.
I, with the exception of any person that may have been outed and now at risk, feel the information is really enlightening and interesting to say the least.
Can't wait to read about the Bank which they think is Bank Of America.
The release of some of this information is going to end up being helpful and may help to resolve some thorny issues in the future.

Try them all for treason, if convicted shoot them. I mean they sent scooter libby to prison for releasing the name of a CIA agent who was not even working in the field any longer and you got this PFC giving away information that could put many people in harms way, and then this rapist running around releasing information which could damage diplomatic relationships which could lead to bloodshed. The only people I could see agreeing with leaking this information is someone like Longermonger a very far left individual.

It was revealed that Scooty Libby did not release the name of Valeria Plame. Richard Armitage admitted that it was him but that didn't serve the template. Libby was convicting of "lying" to investigators when he was interviewed about a 10 minute meeting that had taken place two years earlier. Seems he said he didn't remember everything that was discussed or who was present.

Does anyone really think that anything was released that our enemies, or allies didn't already know? This pfc probably gave the info to Wikileaks after not being able to find a buyer on the market, because they already had it. Our government keeps too many secrets from us that are well known around the world.

I dont know maybe saying stuff about the pakastani government which was meant to remain private and was not flattering may not at all interfere with future relations.

So what else does he have? It is obvious that he is targeting the US and by extension the people of the US. It doesn't matter to me whether he has a silver bullet or not, the attempt is enough to start writing his death warrant.
I hear he is screwing around with Russia and China too. They don't play the same games that we play.

The bastard wouldn't get any sympathy on this end. But he would from the same bleeding hearts that protest the death penalty and scream for civil rights for the shit stinking up Guantanamo.

I am as liberal a democrat as you will find on most social issues, of which i am not ashamed to admit. But as a navy vet who had more clearances than you can count and who still has travel restrictions to many countries, I think pvt manning should be tried for treason and shot. His crimes are indisputable, he enlisted in a all volunteer military, he signed and executed an oath of secrecy which he willfully violated. As far as Julian Assange, you sir are a douchebag, you are living a very public life on borrowed time enjoy it while you can. While most of what has been disclosed isnt anything earth shattering it will create more distrust in and already unstable world, and I fear many contacts that were supplying us with information have already been outed and it is already difficult to get information on many of are allies and foes, will be even more difficult. I truly fear for the life of the iranian contact who wasnt named but was described as a world champion fencer from Iran, there are not many world champion iranian fencers so his name is irrelevant, and I would say he is already a dead man walking. If he does get killed then I think Pvt Manning should be charged with accessory to murder. Sorry for rambling.

For me if it's proven that Manning did in fact download and transfer the information (proven, not just him saying he did using a Lady Gaga CD-RW) he's at least guilty of espionage and deserves life in prison no parole just like any other traitorous spy. If even one person is harmed because of this information, he should be charged as an accomplice to attempted murder. If the information results in the death of a non-US citizen, up the charge to murder. If the information results in the death of a single US servicemember or civilian, the charge has now become high treason. We declared war on terrorism years ago. Treason during wartime the death penalty is on the table. Fry his ass. The new death chamber at Fort Leavenworth needs christening. Let the devil assfuck him for eternity.
As for Assange, assassination would be nice on an emotional level, but the cat is out of the bag figuratively speaking. Eliminating him now would do no good, as would hacking into and taking down the servers hosting Wikileaks.

Just wanted to point out that since Assange is not a US citizen, it is not treason.
Manning - could be charged with Treason and shot.
