I recieved a requests from a gent that is a newbie...no biggie as everyone is new at first.
He gives me a reference of a gal that is off BP.....he gave me a description of how she would remember him.Well the hotel the met at has "abhorable" reviews and is evidently a "rent by hour adult based" hotel..It is evidentlly famous for "hookups of the eery kind". I kindly let him know that she was not to be trusted as a reliable reference...He seems like a nice guy ,but he just needs help learning the ropes on how to stay safe and have a good time in the hobby world.

SO,my question,for both providers & hobbyists to answer.....

What constitutes a reputable reference???
Providers..What criteria do you use when getting references...do you research the girl and make sure she is legit?/And how do you deem her as reputable??

Eccie is a big factor in deciding if the provider is reputable and a viable reference. P411 and naughty reviews as well. I look for reviews on the lady. I looked to see how "known" she is. What is her reputation? I look for their websites. I take into account her menu and what she offers. If she offers BBFS for instance I will not likely see the client. I do not accept BP references. Essentially I put equal amount of effort researching the references as I do researching the potential client.

the one you described would be of no use to me. That would not disqualify the gent in my book it would just mean that we would need to use another type of screening for our meeting. I rely on a similar model as Jaycee does for determining if the reference is reputable. If I determine that she isn't I don't even bother with her and we go to step two in the process.

And I especially posted in here because some gals do not have access to our "lounge"

I do the same. I don't accept references (or ANY info) that I cannot verify, which includes, UTR's, or the "newest thing" on the scene, regardless of how popular she is. Also, I am not likely to accept ladies who were established at one time, but now have little to no activity - as quite a few men lately have been trying to use retired ladies and ladies inactive due to a prior arrest - which is always suspect.

It seems that since this guy is a newb that your decision will fall under the category of "women's intuition". You might try getting to know him a little better through phone calls or email if you have the time and desire. All us guys were new at one time but a reputable provider took a chance on us and I am forever grateful.

that is a great point "Crazy"...and I sometimes am a lil more understanding with my screening....BUT this is in a town that is hot with busts lately

That reputable provider who was my first also advised me to let someone else "take one for the team". We certainly don't want to see that fine butt of yours on the local news.
As for the BP lady, she may be well known but only locally. Try USAsexguide.info, that's where the BP ladies are reviewed.

There always seems to be a lot of ideas concerning references and credibility here. So, please allow my 2 pennies worth. Because of my work and security issues with that and because I really can't afford any drama or problems, I stick with what is simplest and safest for me! I would never expect the lady to take a chance she is uncomfortable with, however, I don't either. So, first with every encounter, if we can work something out, great! If not, we can just go out separate way and be happy.
Secondly, I'm only on this site. Period! I can see reviews, history, and determine if we would be compatible. Most of the ladies here often uses BP for better coverage, so I don't see that as a problem. The example you gave would bring out the red flags. The guy really needs to learn the ropes. However, I see a number of guys in my area that just want a BNG. This is also a red flag for me as too often is just creates way too much traffic for my comfort level. My latest encounter involved a known provider who didn't even seem to check me out. I asked her and she did. I was on this site, I post reviews, and I comment on forums. Plenty of information available. She felt there was no other info needed. I thought that was the perfect response for anyone on this site.
Finally, I would always suggest that we listen to the little voice. Because I might not play often, or close to home ( sometimes I'm better with a traveling lady), I'm sure that many of the ladies might not remember me. However, because of the circumstances I've mentioned concerning work, I'm OK with that. In fact, that means I did exactly what I needed to do to cover my tracks. I don't mind kind of private meetings with ladies I've developed a working relationship with. But I don't put it out there and would not use them as a reference for a new encounter.
Bottom line, we are all different with different requirements. We all have to figure it out and make peace with our choices. But, it is our choice. You going to meet the kid? If you do, teach him the right way! If not, at least message him with the knowledge. We all do dumb things, that's forgivable. Still, there are a lot of nuts out there, so how lucky do we feel? That's my opinion. Play safe ladies and gents.

I would never expect a provider who wants references to accept a BP hookup.. its so much easier getting P411

thanks for yalls insights....I kindly let him know what I would need and that maybe next time we can meet if he has a better reference.He was appreciative of my honesty and advice.
