REAL Haunted Houses And Scary Places In KS
Halloween is almost here and I want to go exploring. I love watching Ghost Hunters and shows like that so I figured I'd check out some local "haunted" spots around here.
I know Stull Cemetary in Lawrence is supposed to be one of the gates to hell or something like that but they are strict about trespassing there.
The Olathe Airport is supposed to be haunted so that is on my list as well as the Eldridge Hotel in Lawrence.
Does anyone know of any other places that aren't hours away?

Union Hill Cemetary is the oldest cemetary in KC, it has a lot of Civil war soldiers buried there and is suppose to be haunted. The do a lot of Parapnormal investigations there.

There was a bed and breakfast mentioned on one of these shows a couple of years ago. It is located in Plattsburg, MO and has something to do with rosebuds. They mentioned a ghost cat and a little girl.

Allie, I'm trying to arrange some ghost hunts here in Wichita. If you ever decide to visit, we may be able to plan one around your stay.

Ghosts aren't real, but haunted houses are everywhere. They're called churches. (house of God/father/son/holy ghost)

COG, that sounds like a lot of fun! How many haunted places do you know of in Wichita?
This site has a bunch! I wish KC and Lawrence had more places. I've asked a lot of people and keep hearing about the same locations.

Allie Emporia actually leads ghost tours every Halloween of all the haunted spots in Emporia.
The Emporia State University is haunted: locations on campus includes Morse hall dorms, a student hung herself in the room and they cant keep the temps regulated, Albert Taylor Hall theater is haunted. There is one chair in the back they don't sell because weird things happen when someone sits in that seat. Bruder theater is haunted, the Granada theater is on the haunted list.
Than you have the infamous Bird Bridge where a local pastor murdered his wife. It was made into a movie called Murdered Ordained.
There also several houses in town that are haunted, mine included lol. In fact the Ghost tours for ESU are this coming Wednesday from 7-9pm on ESU campus.

Every Halloween Haskell Indian Nations University in Lawrence does a "Haunted Haskell Tour". I've never been myself but my friends have gone the past few years and have loved it.
