Kamala's Awful Record As Border Czar - Here's the Raw Truth
It's jaw-dropping for me to watch the Democrats as they desperately seek to rewrite & revise the history of this still-unfolding disaster... and think they can get away with it!
Harris’s refusal to take responsibility for the consequences of her policy positions has been a theme throughout her career. It’s also shaping up to be a major problem for her 2024 presidential run. Harris seems to think she can completely divorce herself from the Biden administration’s wildly unpopular policies. This includes the disastrous border crisis, which has quickly made immigration a top issue for voters. Harris, with the help of the media, is trying to rewrite history when it comes to her role in the mismanagement of illegal immigration.
I almost vomited the first time I heard back in 2001 that Kamala's job as BORDER CZAR would be to uncover the "root causes" of the problem. Complete fucking nonsense - but typical of how namby-pamby libtards pretend to approach EVERY problem we face... and an example of why they always fail so spectacularly.
Bottom line:
“The Biden-Harris regime refused to secure the border because the extreme leftists who dominate its coalition refused to countenance it — and the leader of that faction is Kamala Harris... Let’s not forget that the disastrous state of the border, and the tens of millions of illegal aliens in the United States now, does not reflect circumstances forced upon Kamala Harris despite her best efforts. They reflect her positive preference, for policy and for the future of the country, and that is not going to change.”

You might have the year wrong on that. 2001?
But other than that you’re spot on.
What’s even more hilarious is how the MSM denies that she was ever named the border Czar after calling her that non stop for the last 3-1/2 years.

From the Spectator article:
"In March 2021, President Biden said that he was tasking Harris with taking on “root causes” of the massive rise in illegal immigration since the beginning of that year."
The Spectator article also notes how one MSM publication (Axios) ran a recent story denying Kamala was ever the BORDER CZAR - and then comically "clarified" that they were among those news outlets that had incorrectly labeled her as such!
You can't make this shit up!

If Trump was worried about the number of people coming over the southern border, why did he have the GOP in the lower house kill the bipartisan immigration bill. That bill was written by the most conservative republican Senator in the Senate.

Because in put in place the ability of 5000 people a day to come across the boarder as part of the "Compromise" to get Democrats on board.
So effectively it was a crock of nonsense pushed on purpose by Dems to keep the current open border in place.

Correct…making it all essentially legal.
Do the math…that’s 1,825,000 a year..Add on to that the free passes for their families to join them later. Their wives, kids, parents, grand parents…once they start breeding the US will be a colony of Central America.

he didn't. the reason it fell apart is the Democrats wanted to tie in aid to Ukraine and Israel.
$60 billion in aid for Ukraine and $14 billion for Israel.
what exactly does this have to do with OUR border security?
amusing you and others think Trump "Told the GOP" to kill that bill.

Your DNC talking point reeks of hypocrisy and intentional deception.
If the Dems were genuinely concerned about fixing the problem, why didn't they support the House immigration bill HR-2 (aka the Secure the Border Act of 2023) - which had real teeth in it?
You do know that in his first year in office, Biden signed 89 executive orders reversing Trump's immigration policies, right?
All Biden/Harris needed to do if they sincerely wanted to slow/stop the hoards & caravans crossing the border was to REINSTATE ALL OF THOSE TRUMP POLICIES - and rescind their own additional executive actions (e.g. on asylum, parole, and TPS) which greatly (and deliberately) exacerbated the problem!
"During his first 364 days as president, Biden took 296 executive actions on immigration—as compared to 86 during Trump's first year and 472 during the entire Trump presidency, analysts Muzaffar Chishti and Jessica Bolter write in a new article for MPI’s online journal, the Migration Information Source. Of Biden’s 296 immigration actions, 89 have reversed or started to undo Trump policies, making clear the administration is doing more than unraveling his predecessor’s policies."
https://www.migrationpolicy.org/news...ion-first-year
But we all know the Democrats aren't honest or sincere. They look entirely disingenuous & silly when they seek to deflect blame for their own failed crackpot immigration policies of the past 3-1/2 years onto Donald Trump.
Isn't Trump the guy who elevated the issue from Day 1? Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't he come down the escalator in Trump Tower and launch his campaign for President around this issue back in 2015? How the hell do you blame him for your own failures?
Flash forward... it's an election year again. The Dems looked at the polls and belatedly realized their open borders policy is a big self-inflicted wound and a LOSING ISSUE for them! So they said let's find a clever, twisted way to blame Trump.
It ain't working.

Because morning joe and the MSM tell them their talking points. harris has managed to gaslight the hell out of democrats the past 3 months, I guess the DNC thinks the republicans are as stupid as the democrats are. how she went from being a grossly inept vp with ratings in the 30's to the little golden girl in 3 months is beyond me. The people who think she can lead this country are totally delusional.

A separate Foreign aid bill was passed shortly after so you are full of shit saying that killed the bill.
It is widely known and reported that 17 GOP senators were on board, trump threatened to "primary" them and 9 dropped off keeping the bill from reaching the 60 votes needed. Again, you are full of shit and don't know what you are talking about.

It's 5000 encounters, not people. Many try multiple times and are encountered by patrol each time.

widely known? then show some links to prove that.
and the fact you had to concede that the aid had to be separated because it had nothing to do with our border issues is proof you are wrong.

Well, it seem like the repubs are having a squabble amongst themselves.
"...But a deeply divided Republican conference was scrambling to find support for the wartime funding, even though it has been a top priority for Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell. It was the latest sign of the longtime Republican leader’s slipping control over his conference and underscored how the traditional GOP tenet of robust foreign involvement is giving way to Donald Trump’s “America First” nationalism. At stake is the future of Ukraine’s defense against Russia. ..."
