Providers messaging

Curious to what other thought about providers contacting client either by text or phone. I have been hobbying for a while and had this happen, for the first time, twice in the last couple of weeks. When I leave a message I usually say something like you can call me back before 5, for example. I haven't seen these two in a while. My fault for not using a hobby phone. That will change for sure.

Do you think it is TCB? or maybe business is slow but I received one call like that last week from a gal that I have not seen in two mo's. Although she no longer does any advertising and was just letting me know she was still around but now lives in vt. It is some times not a good time to receive thoses calls or text if you know what I mean./

You got it right about using a hobby phone. I had a couple of calls a few years back prior to getting the H-Phone from a provider I saw a few times. Lucky that the SO wasn't around when she called. I also got a text one time from a rub and tub place on Long Island that came in the middle of the night. My SO saw that one and I had some splaining to do.

Ya, for once I'm glad I have been getting a lot of text spam.

I hate the whole text and call thing it makes me really uncomfortable most gents ask you to when you are going to be or are in town. I also know a lot that have left boards and don't BP so that is the only way to advertise to them and I get knots in my tummy before I do it. I always worry about their employers and sos or if I'm bothering them even though they asked me to do it. A lot of times they get mad when they write asking when I'll be back and I tell them I was just there I get the "why no call or text?" Thing.

I have a hobby phone, so texts don't bother me at all. Actually, it's nice to know they remember me, or at least pretend to! )

My phone is MY phone, Nobody touches it, PERIOD!
I don't mind getting texts during the day or late at night. Calls during the day are ok, but not at night.
Greg - they all remember us - don't they? After all, aren't we all different from all the others? hehe
