San Diego War Cross
THIS PISSES ME OFF!
http://www.truthrevolt.org/news/excl...-san-diego-war
EXCLUSIVE: Defense Department 'Taking Time' to Consider Whether to Appeal Decision Barring San Diego War Cross
DOD uncertain if they will fight for the war cross.
12.13.2013 Albert Merrick 17
Thursday, a Federal judge ordered that a war memorial cross be removed from atop a San Diego mountain in 90 days unless the Department of Defense appealed the decision.
When reached for comment Friday, Lt. Col Joseph Breasseale, a spokesperson for the the Department of Defense told TruthRevolt they were “taking their time” to decide whether or not to try and allow the cross, used in celebrations since the early part of last century and as a memorial during the Korean War, to remain:
We always take time to review the decision and contemplate it before making a decision. This is a terrifically emotional issue that goes to the heart for both sides of the issue. The Department will not enter into the debate in the press while we are still contemplating the judges decision.

It is more than a symbol, original cross was erected on site in 1913 which was subsequently stolen. The 2nd damaged and as a War Memorial in remembrance of all lost not only Christians, 1954 this cross was raised. So for 100 years there has been a cross, it should be heritage/historically protected.

I've said it many times, many different ways. "Congress...or prohibiting the free exercise thereof;..." applies here. This issue is not, necessarily, an establishment clause issue. It is for sure an issue about Congress, and any extension or representative of it, prohibiting the free exercise of religion. Congress and any extension of it or any representative of it are not allowed, by the 1st amendment to the Constitution, to prohibit the free exercise of religion anywhere, anyone wants to do so. Period.
Whether they are Baptist, Methodist, Catholic or Islamist or any other "religion", unless they violate some other statutes of "criminal" or "civil" law, they Constitutionally, can worship how they want, where they want, This includes employees of federal or state, or county or city or municipality or Incorporated community, any government in America, operating under the restrictive rules of governmental constraint of the Constitution of the United States. Even Congress can have prayer, symbols of worship or other religious activities right in the middle of both houses of Congress and smack dab in the court room of the Supreme Court, just as long as they make "no laws" dictating a specific religion must be adhered to. The 1st amendment is not a vehicle to move toward freedom from religion, that right exists by default. It is, though, a declaration that government, Congress, shall not interfere with freedom of any kind of religion by officially legislating a particular denomination or belief of religion that must be practiced by each citizen of the United States.
All of this nonsense about religion, where crosses are, etc. isn't about freedom from it or freedom to do it. Let's not lose focus about the real issue of continual government opposition toward religion. The goal here is to remove God from government thereby rendering the Bill of Rights, located within the Declaration of Independence, null and void. What does the Bill of Rights say? In the second paragraph of the Declaration of Independence it says that all men are endowed by "their Creator" with certain inalienable rights, that among these are, etc. If God, our Creator, is out of government, ie, there is no God, then where do men go to get their rights? DUH! That would be the government. This is the goal of Obama and Democratic Agenda. These anti-Americans desperately want there to be no God in government. This way all rights awarded to men would then come wholly from government. This means total, complete and absolute control of the lives of every individual in America.
Folks, we are in the main push of this agenda by the Democrats. Obamacare is just the tip of the iceberg. If the Conservatives do not maintain control of the H.O.R and gain the Senate in 2014 the final two years of the reign of Obama will nothing short of American Economic Annihilation. This is a very serious subject and yet I can't help but bring in some TV and Movie symbolism. It is this. The BORG is eleven months journey form the earth. When it gets here, as the TV line goes, "resistance ( will be ) is futile". The BORG must be rendered useless by time it gets here. The only way to do so is make sure that you do your part, what ever it might be, and make sure the election of 2014 goes to the conservatives in America.

Let's see Judge rules for cross to be removed unless DOD objects. DOD will not get involved in debate in the media. That should be fodder for the wingers to piss and moan about.
