President Obama To Use Executive Orders To Sucure More Gun Controle.
http://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politi...guf?li=BBnb7Kz
http://www.forbes.com/sites/rickunga...the-president/
I can't believe that The DNC backs this. If you want to get most American's blood boiling, start talking about bypassing Congress in order to usurp the 2d Amendment.
One of my biggest complaints about most of the efforts that the Liberal/Progressive/Socialist/Democrats propose is, all they do is cause harassment and undue burden on law abiding citizens, and does nothing to eliminate the criminal use of firearms.
Many of these Executive Orders seem to be rooted in common sense. The big problem is, the Government will in all likelihood use them to harass regular citizens rather than those who would break the law.
The big one is the whole "Gun Show loophole". What this really means is if you are at a Gun Show, and buy a gun from a dealer at that show, you have to go through all the checks that are already mandated. However, if another individule walking around has a gun you want, you can simply hand him the cash and take the gun.
This might be the biggest political fight of the upcoming elections.

Going to be hard to stop buying from individuals, unless the shows bans anyone but dealers from the show. It would require anyone who sells to have a license.

I modified what you posted to make MY point!
Every time this country "outlaws" something, .....
...... the "outlaws" figure out how to get what is "outlawed"!
Case in point: It's against the law for me to pay $$ for a piece of ass!
But it's not against the law for me to pay an adult lady for "her time," and what she does with it is her private business, and that's not against the law as long as it is consensual.

Step two: It will be against the law to have an "unregistered" firearm!
For all the CHL holders ... is your qualifying weapon "registered"?

Great job, LLephantMan. Why do you care? You never leave the basement.
Nobody's gun gets grabbed, despite what you howler monkeys say! But the Gun Show loophole is finally being closed.
How does that not make sense? How is this any more harassment than the "Voter ID" law you boys so staunchly support? At least this EO makes it more difficult for bad guys to get a gun. Good guys can still go to their neighborhood Wal-Mart and pick up a new shooter whenever they like.
We've been waiting for your "step two" for years, now, LLephantMan. But there never has been a step two.
Only thousands of dead innocent Americans.
Hurry! Buy as much ammo as you can! The revenooers are a'comin!

I'm willing to trade - close the gun show loophole in exchange for Voter ID in every state.

Have you ever been to a gun show? I "closed that loophole" from the get-go!
I rarely, and I mean RARELY, buy firewood along the highway also!
Why is YouRong post in a thread about "guns"? He must be confused again.

Any idea when Obama is going to close that horrible "Car Dealer Loophole" where a private citizen is allowed to sell a dangerous and deadly product like A CAR, without going through a Federally licensed and approved Car Dealer, where background checks can be run to make sure the buyer is mentally competent and didn't vote for Obama like the ladies that ran over and killed folks in Las Vegas and Oklahoma recently??
I'm sure Obama could just make that happen by Executive Order right??

Shares in Smith & Wesson shot up 6% today in a bad overall market... every time Odumbo threatens to do something, gunmakers sell more guns... I wonder if he's running an insider trading scheme?

I am always amused by what people call loopholes as if people are skirting the law rather than actually functioning within the law. It is like tax loopholes, there are none. There is the law and then there is everything else.
Does Obama have the authority to make law or is that the function of the Legislative branch.
Enforcement of the law is the responsibility of the Executive branch, not changing it.

President Obama can do pretty much what he wants because he is invulnerable to the ultimate check that the Legislative Branch has over him. Impeachment.
The Republicans have an overwhelming majority in the House. They have a majority in the Senate. But there are enough Demacrats Senators who are willing to put Party before Country that you simply cannot convict.
I often wonder where they would draw the line when it comes to President Obama using the Bill of Rights as toilet paper.
