what is that supposed to mean? there is a topic here. either stay on topic or don't post in this thread. this thread is about the quick turnaround on Fox News where one week they say Covid19 is fake news and 2 weeks later that the world will probably end b/c of the Covid19 pandemic. it's not hard; just follow the rules.
if you don't like Eccie, no one is forcing you to be here. i'm waiting to see if they actually clean up the troll mess here before i go back to regular participation on this board. at the moment i am almost completely limiting myself to Trump-related matters as i am very concerned about the future of the Republic with what i see as a Know-Nothing Russian asset in the WH.
the rules apply equally to SC and myself as they do you. we have both had enough points and bans to prove that.
@tbone: i don't ever read what i guess what you would call a race-baiting thread because it doesn't interest me, but my assessment is that if they are rule-compliant they would be allowed and if they are non-compliant they would be disallowed.

The reason you're so defensive, and maybe playing the victim, is that you are a major part of the problem. These fucking shows are not news whether they are on Fox or CNN. Call it fake news if you want or don't. It really isn't news at all. They are talking heads filling airtime by spouting their opinions. The difference between Fox and CNN is CNN calls people like Chris Cuomo and Don Lemon anchors. Fox accurately calls them hosts. Even the hosts like Hannity go to the trouble of repeating that they are hosts and they are giving opinions and their guests are generally giving opinions.
Bill O'reilly did the best job of cutting through the BS but even he gave opinions. It was usually how he opened his show. Damn shame he turned out to be such an asshole off screen.
Citing any of those shows as news is idiotic though. They are taking the news of the day and putting their perspective on it. That's all. If you want to use the clips to make a point that they do or don't know what the fuck they are talking about or even that they are promoting a particular agenda that's fine with me. We're not gonna lump everyone into a single basket because Fox News has been exposed for the Treasonous poison disguised as the milk feeding leeches they are. Take ownership and responsibility for supporting them. Now that we're in this Crisis you guys want to mildly rebuke Fox and I cant let that slide. Cronkite was a liberal-progressive but you never knew by his broadcast. I never knew it til long after he retired. He didn't offer opinions he reported the news. I remember watching him sign off for the last time. "And that's the way it is".
No other anchor, that I know of, has come close to earning the level of trust that Cronkite had.
