Default "Cash for clients names"? "Market Disruptor"? Has anyone else gotten this email???

I just got an email today from marketdisruptor@gmail.com. It was offering substantial amounts of money for the legal names of people who have posted ten or more reviews with the reason being a "better online experience" Clearly something incredibly fucked is going on and I'm wondering how many other people are getting it.

Hopefully, anyone that gets this will recognize it as spam and take the appropriate measure with it:

Default Be careful when you poke a bear

The best thing is to ignore these emails.

If they have serious technology behind them and you respond with an email they do not like, you may find yourself the target of a mass email inbox barrage the likes of which you have never seen. This is a DNS attack, (denial of service) that is most often in the news when it is aimed at large corporate website-email addresses. But it also happens to single email accounts as well.

The results will be that your email provider will shut off your email account. And most likely require you to open a completely new account.

Go Ahead and Poke A Bear!

Let us know how it turns out.

Easiest thing with any spam or other unwanted mail is to mark it spam.

If you are already a gmail user, and the spam comes from a gmail account, doesn't take many spam reports for GMail to shut down the spammer.

"Do-gooders" and wanna be vigilantes are out there, for sure.

It doesn't sound like spam, more like those anti-hobbyist sites that have been popping up lately. They've been targeting clients and have been posting their real world information on there. I think the pay off is when they blackmail the men into paying high dollar to get their info removed. They remove it and then post it to a different website and it starts all over. I still can't believe someone would do that...

If you dig a little deeper, the phone number attached to that email is 12 digits, more than likely a UK number. Typical scam scenario....

It's obvious someone gave up their username and password for eccie and law enforcement has gotten wise to the fact that those user accounts with more views are "more trusted" by the girls, thusly making it easier for them to set up "dates" and thusly do stings. it's law enforcement fishing everyone, thought this would be obvious.
