What's the Deal? - Deposit/Verification?

I believe this subject matter has been broached before, so forgive me for brining up again - But, what's the deal with this requirement of deposit, before meeting with a provider?

From my perspective, this is a no-no, as there have been a multitude of stories of hobbyists getting flaked for providing donation preemptively.

Maybe I haven't got in with that times, but is this a normal practice now in the hobby? Any brethren here have success with following this "deposit" before meet model?

No it is not normal practice for customers to make a deposit: it may seem normal because a lot of girls are asking for deposits when they know very well that about 95% of all guys will turn them down. When the stupid 5% pay them a deposit, Guess what? They get to walk away with your money, without providing nothing in return. Don't be a fool, no matter what she says: Walk away with your money still in your pocket.

Most every request/demand for deposits are organized scams by, I highly suspect, the Russian troll farm. My rationale for the suspicion is very long winded, no definitive proof, per se, but the Force is strong with this one!

Coincidentally I was playing with a scammer earlier today who gave me an address. Got on Google Maps, no hotel there and she(?) wanted $40, up front, for an incall! I SHIT YOU NOT!!!

Bottom line, Do NOT pay any deposit!!!!

A small percentage might very well be "hookers" but don't fool yourself! It is mostly an ORGANIZED effort by a foreign entity to steal American dollars! That part I am 110% positive of! Now, whether it is the Internet Research Agency, aka "Troll Farm", in St Petersberg, Russia, that is a rational guess!

Doesn't this depend pretty much on who the lady is? Sure, if it's some unknown entity, don't give a deposit.


But if it is a well known and respected lady who has been in the community for a long time, I wouldn't hesitate to send a deposit, especially if I had not visited her before.

Yes, it does and goes without saying! But, I believe there was a post of a known lady a short while back who wanted a deposit and she did not report for duty! Frankly, there are maybe 4, 5 or 6 lady’s I would trust with a deposit! Then again, there have been ladies in my past who I trusted and (thought) got along with only to have them steal something!

Some might remember Roxie. I think she tried to set me up for an actual robbery! CeCe burned her hand pretty bad, went to the hospital for a few days. She called asked me to buy a book for her to read. I did,delivered it to her. She ended up stealing from me a few weeks later! And other assorted tear jerkers nobody wants to read!

Actually it began when Providers were deemed a numerous amoit of NCNS's AND
Cancellation's
Verified Providers ( especially from P4)
Don't .You guys get ripped off from STG
and other unverified sites

As a general rule I don’t, I have P411 with more than enough okays that would vouch for me being a reliable appt… That being said, I have given a deposit to a few people I already knew well to help with some travel expenses, but by that time I’d seen them a bunch of times and we had a good rapport going.

I definitely wouldn’t recommend it though, there’s enough stories to go around… some in this thread even
