Within Arkansas, I would have to say the Fayetteville area. I've been missing it since my first visit...& looking for houses there... It's so beautiful up there. And that big ass Hog's store is AMAZING! I could go to all the Hog's games....ahhhh
Otherwise, just pick a random tropical location, something like Mexico or the Bahama's?? Somewhere with white, sandy beaches and turquoise water...in a little cottage on the beach. Access to very cheap seafood is very important, too. And I want one of those cool hanging mosquito nets over my bed.
Hey...where did they film Blue Lagoon? I'd settle for that.

Great question, Sydney. It might help if some of us who don't know you that well had some parameters. For example, if you're looking for great seafood and hiking, my first instinct would be San Francisco or Seattle. That of course would depend on the climate you're particular to. Things like climate, activities, and scenery might narrow things down quicker.
Given any choice, I would highly recommend Cape Cod. There's a reason hundreds of artists flocked there over the past century. The light is wonderful, the food is great, and Provincetown is loads of fun. The normal population is like 1200 while the summer season blossoms to 25000. Don't feel it's all annoying tourists. It's mostly a haven for upper middle class, artsy types with summer homes there. Lots of money but also lots of great places to get away. If you ever long for the big city, Boston is a fast ferry ride away.
Sorry if that was too wordy. I spent a week up there last summer and fell in love.
Edward Hopper and many other artists lived there. I made a small pilgrimage to study landscapes and the coast. It was my first time to the true east coast.
Best of luck and have fun, wherever you go!

Anywhere? Ah, the Maine backwoods. As far away from humanity as I can get.

There are multiple venues that would make me happy as a clam, but if you combine the ocean, beaches, championship golf, seafood and plenty of pampering at a great spa, it would have to be Kapalua on Maui. I'd have to take up residence at The Ritz-Carlton there.

Take me with you, BB. I know I'm not blonde and my boobs are not big, but all that can be fixed. It's my smart-ass sense of humor that makes me indispensible. And I need pampering and seafood like nobodies business.

I do kind of like Memphis, but that is mostly for the BBQ and music.
I would be happiest living on one of the small middle keys in Florida with a house right on the water.

In Arkansas, #1 is Boxely Valley or upper Buffalo area and #2 is Fayetteville, off Dickson in one of the historical homes (or if $ no object, then high dollar condos on Dickson).
Giz & Shelby, if we are talking Colorado gotta go with Durango.
A couple of other excellent palces are Southern Idaho and Asheville, NC areas.
