Who'll Be The 2020 Dem Presidential Nominee?
It's "put on your shittin' pants" bad. Quid Pro Joe, Creepy Uncle Joe, Sleepy Joe Biden or whatever you want to call him is starting to be called by the media: presumptive Dem nominee. It's pretty obvious that he can't last in the basement until the Democratic Convention comes around, even if it's virtual.
Even PF Tran has figured it out. Biden will get exposed badly before the debates start. Candy Crowley and other Dim handlers posing as journalists aren't going to stop
Biden from tripping over himself.
So what to do? The Convention starts the week of Aug 17. I doubt they even chance rolling him out. Time for a medical emergency. Hell, it doesn't have to be him, it could be Hunter.
Time for the superdelegates to come into play.
But who? Mark Cuban? Stacey Abrams? Lizzo? Bernie? Buttigeig? Hillary? Michelle? Oprah?
Lemme know your choices or prediction.

The DNC has a lot of input. However, Biden's poll numbers are too strong. He is killing Trump in Penn, Mich, Wisc and North Carolina. He has a small lead in Forida and Texas is tied. Biden only needs to flip three states that HRC loss to get to 270.
I think he stays with the plan to put a woman #2 on ticket. I think it will be one of these 4. All 4 have shown interest in being on the ticket. The vetting process has already started.
A. Biden/Harris
B Biden/Demings
C. Biden/Gov Whitmer
D. Biden/Klobuchar

Biden, until yesterday, had been holed up in his basement for 2 months. And in that time Trump's approval rating has dropped from 45.8% approve to 43.0% approve, from -3.9% to -10.3%.
Several polls have Biden with a double digit lead over Trump at the national level. The average of all polls is 6+%. In the 7 battleground states of Wisconsin, Florida, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Arizona, NC, and Minnesota, Biden leads in all but NC where Trump is +1%. Even the betting odds have dropped on Trump, from 65% probability of reelection to 55% since February.
I know the argument with Trump supporters will be how inaccurate polls are and it's much too early to make any assumptions based on polls 5+ months before the election.
But why would the Democrats trade horses when their horse is in the lead?

They can see that their horse has a big chance of fading in the stretch - because he is old, tired, and looks lame. Admittedly, he could hold on, but almost any Democrat gets the anti-Trump vote. If the economy picks back up and the virus dies down, or it appears to be controlled, Trump has a very good shot at winning. Somebody like Obama would be extremely hard to beat even then. Biden is at best weak, and his best asset is that he is thought to be a decent guy.(though you can bet we are going to see a montage of hair sniffing to destroy that narrative)
Obama said it best when he told him, "Joe, you don't have to do this." That was about the only way Obama could have said to him that he was about to embarrass himself.
They can only trade for the runner up, Bernie. (He should convince Larry David to be his running mate!)
Bill Clinton could have pulled off the "you ain't black" remark and been cheered for it. Obviously, so could have Obama.

He's not "killing Trump" and the desperation to pick the ideal VP candidate as some type of backstop because Biden won't make it through the term is appalling.

Because the horse is lame and won't make it to the finish line...and it become more apparent every time the horse leaves the gate..I mean basement.

Trump has a good shot at winning no matter what happens between now and November 3rd. The economy will improve in the 3rd quarter but will still be bad. It won't be untl 2021 until there will be signifcant progress made. And a lot depends on whether the coronavirus has a V shaped curve or a W shaped curve.
This board is the only place I see people discussing the possibility of Biden not being the Democratic candidate in November. Tucker Carlson did say Biden would not be the candidate. There are some that say Biden will drop out. Possible.
All I can say is despite Biden's weaknesses, he is at worst on equal footing with Trump as far as prospects of winning the 2020 election. At this point in time I would give Biden a slight edge in the election. An opinion that is subject to change over the next 5 months.

And yet the lame horse is presumably leading Trump. As you say, Biden is not "killing" Trump but he is certainly not being killed either.
Biden made it through the primaries in great shape. If he would stop making these gaffes he would be way ahead of Trump. On the other side, Trump keeps shooting himself in the foot just about everytime he gets in front of people. How can you tell Trump is lying? His lips are moving.

Biden doesn't look like the only thing lame->your arguments.
The only reason Biden made it through the primaries is because the DNC convinced people to drop out. Then Bernie rolled over.
If you want to open a thread about "Trump's lies" I'll respond there. This is about Biden's viability and who will replace him. He's won't stop making gaffes and he will be worse when he's unprotected. He's obviously in some stage of dementia and it won't improve in the next 5 months.
Time for the Dims to put on their shittin' pants. They put themselves in this position.

the real test for biden is still to come
his lucidity, or lack thereof, will be on display and tested in presidential debates, if there are any
I would have thought cuomo would be the first logical replacement before his coronavirus debacle
in handicapping alternatives to biden I think there are three
the aforementioned cuomo
the ever present hellary
and the dark horse michelle

Let's call a spade a spade (Joe Biden quote? - you know it could be), at this point, if we are being intellectually honest, the Demonicrats are hoping for Trump to fail. That's all they got to run on right now. Think about it. A candidate rich primary with 20+ horses in the race and Biden is the best they got?!? Doesn't make sense, yet they are still running with him on the surface. They desperately need Trump and unfortunately the economy to falter or outright fail. That is where they hang their hat at the moment.
The bad news, besides a dead economy is the the Demonicrats and whomever their horse turns out to be will be the ones to kill the economy completely, until we rise up in an ugly revolt. Don't forget that they have been churning out Socialist wet dream legislation with near demonic passion since the very first impeachment attempt and probably since 2016 when they won the House. Do not think for one hairy leg second that they slowed down during this Scamdemic either. If anything, they went into overdrive
Pure frick'n evil dwells there.

BS. The economy under Obama did very well. Trump made it better. For some. Biden would make it tougher on high income indiviuals and corporations but Trump gave them the keys to the kingdom. The economy would be fine under Biden.
Even before the economy went under, Biden was on equal footing with Trump. Biden's candidacy might not make sense to you but it does to the majority of the voters in this country. Biden will win the popular vote. Whether or not he wins the electoral vote will be determined on November 3rd.

Of course you have absoltely no proof, only opinion, that the DNC forced other Democratic candidates to drop out of the race.
Biden makes his gaffes. The voters do not seem to care. We can argue as to why but the fact is Trump's approval rating has been dropping fairly rapidly and his primary hope at this point in time is that the economy, his only success story, shows significant signs of recovery in the 3rd quarter.

its not the dim "voters who do not seem to care" that matter
its the independents, and to hone that further, independents in swing states

SR - u are correct - biden makes pre-senile demntia "gaffes" - excused by the DPST LSM - and DPSR indoctrinated voters are not allowed to care or see differently according to the LSM controlled by the DNC,
Biden in debate v Trump - that will be intersting to see if he can speak two cogent sentences.
A vote for Biden is a vote for the VP candidate for POTUS - he won't last a year. if elected.
Trump approval ratings - LSM said the same Bs about H... in 2016.
None so blind as will not see.

Anyone remember the movie "Dave" starring Kevin Kline that came out in the early 90's? ..... I think we may see a similar variation of that movie play out in the upcoming 2020 Demonicrat convention ..... in the movie Kline (the president) suffers a stroke, so those who wish to take over and run the show hire a man who impersonated the president (also played in the movie by Kline) by escorting him to act as president so that he can be their "puppet" and also because they deemed the vice-president to be incompetent to do the job, and they had to make sure he didn't just automatically ascend to be president if everyone knew the original president had become incapacitated ..... well ..... suppose some version of that happens at the convention? ..... the Dims are perfectly okay with riding an incompetent, incoherent Biden to the convention, while HilLiary is laying low, lurking behind the scenes to gather support for the vice presidential offering ..... and then, if Biden wins ..... the Dims push the impotent Biden out of office, and voila! ..... HiLiary now easily moves into the presidency that she couldn't win in 2016 and then this country's worst nightmare begins .....
