Wrong again, 22 caliber is a tiny diameter projectile, further, the ear is mostly cartilage and thin, the bullet passed right through and only left a tiny hole.

Bullets aren't naturally explosive, they have to interact with flesh and bone to do much damage.

It's why the army had issues with M16 rounds not stopping Somali Terrorists, the rounds would penetrate and exit their bodies and do little damage.

Even the youngest of deer hunters in PA would understand a 5.56 round is inadequate for a deer, especially with full metal jacketed rounds, like the shooter likely used.
