I have tried a few but mainly use the silicone ones. Tantus Ultra Premium Silicone Cock Ring Has been a good one for me. Some other brands I pick up at my local shop have also worked well

Many of my friends enjoy the silicone. Some have noted a fear for metal due to a bad experience or due to skin sensitivity. The silicone ones are softer and more manageable. Just depends what each individual prefers. I tend to cater to what he likes since, well, he's the one wearing it after all.

At its most basic level, it retains blood in the penis to maintain an erection, doing physically what Viagra does pharmaceutically. A simple silicon or rubber ring will achieve that purpose cheaply and effectively.

The more complicated versions may provide other benefits but others will have to explain them.

Many providers aren't familiar with them but they all are intensely curious and accepting about them.

In my experience the vibrating ones have mixed reviews from "OMG, are you trying to kill me with pleasure" to "it's annoying."
