Whoa. I wrote a post about Pets, or Pet Peeves, on the Coed Discussion Forum, and it was really about these two. In 30 years of Hobbying, I have never felt more outraged at wasting my hard-earned cash than I have in this case.

I showed up on time, as expected and sent the customary text, "I am here." For an 8pm appt, this is at 7:59. 5 minutes go by, then 10. "Oh, we are getting ready, give us a sec." At 8:15, I am told, "come on up," but this is one of those "Uptown Apartments" that require a door code. "Hey, the door is locked, what do I do?" Crickets. Finally someone comes and enters a code and I tailgate in. I knock at the door and it is 8:20, for what was supposed to be an 8pm appointment. Girl#1 is "in the bathroom," so Girl#2 asks me to wait. I do. She spends 10 minutes reviewing a CVS receipt. I am not kidding. She is worried the clerk charged her for a candle she thinks she didn't get. Girl#1 finally shows up, and blathers about this and that for another 5 minutes. She then takes the time to text whoever. I wanted to get acquainted at 8, 8:10, and now it is 8:35.

I am asked about the Donation. 11, yes 11 roses, before anyone in the room has less than their socks on. Girl#2 does this and that, which I like, but Girl#1 asks me for more money. I tell her I gave her what she asked, is that not enough? [I felt that even if I had laid out more Benjamins, it would not have enhanced the experience].
