Way too many escort advertising sites
I advertise on several well known and respected websites but within the past year or so, there seem to be a lot more popping up. Not only that there are too many escort ad sites but some of them are charging an arm and a leg! Who do they think they are? I have stopped putting an ad on sites I don't belong to anymore, it is just way to much work and you don't know if you can trust them.
Plus, they look cheap and shady and if I am going to pay 1200 a year for advertising you better be damn good and have been around for a while with a great reputation.
Has anyone else noticed this trend picking up?

Hey Honey.... I haven't really noticed that..... Don't stray too far from here. But I did notice that you quoted my girl Janis Joplin. We're from the same town. When I was in high school they were tearing down one of the houses she lived in growing up and a bunch of us went there and partied one night and stole a bunch of bricks from the porch. I wonder what my ex did with them.....

As a provider I have would have to agree with you. Since ASPD has shut down I have received several emails from sites that claiming that they are the new ASPD or that they are just starting, but you have to be a verfied provider in order to recieve the invitation etc. I have checked a couple of the sites and most of them seem like bull crap. You have to be a VIP member just to do the simple things that ECCIE provides for us. I enjoy having ECCIE as my home, since I have been on this site I actually post here. I feel like it's a real a community (good, bad, and ugly), it's cool. I am glad to see it growing and I think that it is going to put those other sites to shame. If a site hasn't been around for a while then I wouldn't even waste my time.

Hi ladies! I agree with you. Too hard to keep up with all of them. And I'm sure not too many of them are happy with ECCIE......offering something like the Showcase for free to the Verified Providers. No doubt put a sizable dent in their pocketbook.

Actually, I take exception to the "way too many."
Marketing experts will tell you that "the more the merrier" usually expands the market place, bringing both more "buyers" and more "sellers" with the downside for the sellers being that more sellers means prices may be depressed.
More buyers usually help support the pricing level, so pricing is "elastic" in any case.
Now, the real question -- how valuable can any or many of the escort sites be...
The answer to that imho is to experiment with several; carefully track how many inquiries and appointments they generate, and how much expense you incur in using their resources.
Then you have a rational basis for considering any of the "many."
And, as we all know from painful personal recent experience, sites can arrive suddenly and depart equally fast.
Which makes the saying, "don't put all your eggs in one basket" very appropriate unless, perhaps, they are Easter Eggs.

Actually I have noticed it. But I am one who started a site to help a friend of mine out. She is on here as "US Jordan". My point was all these sites charge mass amounts of money some people don't even realise how much sites like say craigslist or backpage charge. You are always having to pay more to stay on that first page.
My site isn't perfect right now and I am adding a lot more.
But here is what you won't here from any other site. When it is complete I should be able to pay the provider for list on the site not her pay me. It might not be the sum of what she pays other sites but it will very depending on what she draws to the site.
My idea is simple there is a lot more I can make money off of with out having to charge the independent providers. I am in the middle of adding a lot of other sections non of which you can currently see. The format will be changed slightly to make things easier and more intuitive. Think of it as being a one stop adult entertainment site by the time I am done. Escort listing, dancers, massage, cam, separate areas for independent and agency types, then ad store fronts were people can sell products, banner listings for other sites.... photographer listings, adult toys, furniture, ... you get the idea
The way I look at it people are struggling enough in this economy and don't need me adding to it.
But it is only part of what I am building as a larger network.
Maybe this site will work or won't work. It is simply something I started to help out. I figured at one point the more people I get to the site the more likely the women will get business. So the goal is to make the site very high traffic. I have the ability to move up to a 10Megabit connection both ways when traffic does get that high. Hopefully by then the site will be supporting itself.

It is like the post I made about how much power escorts / providers have but don't use. If they started only using sites that really tried to do right by them and not try and leach off them then the leach sites would fold up or drop their prices making it better for them.

Ck, your philosophy carries merit when it comes to review/message boards. There's plenty of evidence to support the "eggs in one basket" theory.....however all of these advertising sites that are popping up left and right are a different animal, and can start to make one's head spin. Yes they may each reach a different segment of the community, but many many readers will follow a routine of checking the one or two, for example Eros, BP, or Cityvibe, and pay little to no attention to the others.
ECCIE's Showcase is in direct competition with those types of sites, offering a quality product for free that they typically charge a premium for. They can't be too excited about that IMO

Well I can tell you for certain they get dam right retaliatory. I built a function on my site to make it easier for women to post their ads on back page. It gave them a segment of code that would past their profile right into backpage when they advertised there. Backpages, staff decided to move all the ads to the website and phone area. Which wasn't what was paid for considering they were actual ads for the women not my site.
That said and done I contacted backpage staff and got hold the management. Who in turn refunded my money but refused to deal with his staff even though he "supposedly" thought they were wrong. They left the ads up in the phone and website section were technically they were not supposed to be and didn't allow them to be edited. Which got them flagged which in turn then got that account banned. Yea, banned for something they did. Just because I decide to try and make it easier on the women on the site to post with them.

I agree Dawn.
There seems to be a lot of new sites popping up these days, I simply assumed it was just part of the natural growth of the hobby on the net.
Many folks have seen the opportunity and have taken the plunge.
I personally try to stick to the more well known boards as I also don't have the time or energy to keep up with more than a few.
And I will not pay a membership fee until I've had a chance to see what the site's about. If I like it, I'll pay. If not, there are plenty of other sites to choose from.

Your position might explain why you spammed my email with your new site trying to get me to sign up.

Wondering if you are attacking the right person here?
You are talking spam as in email with No-way to reply or opt out. Such as if you email back to them you get a message that it was undeliverable? It also has to do with the frequency of mails you get.
Just because it is unsolicited doesn't make it spam in the US and most countries.
From my own site I do send out emails and when I am asked to not send that person further emails it is real simple I don't.
If it was me you were thinking of www.escortinterviews.net. If I did something wrong or you want to blame / accuse me of something I prefer to be the one being actually pointed at. Not sure if ck1942 even has a site. I would hope that you didn't just carelessly point a finger at someone who didn't do anything.

Sorry if I used the wrong term. The unsolicited email was not from you and not for your website.

It's all good. I just wanted to make sure something that was related to me wasn't being thrown at someone else. Matter of integrity.
It wasn't just for your benefit I wrote all that a lot of people miss use the word spam probably because all the media that does.
