witness for Trump gets paid
Prretty self explanatory.
At least Trump donors get to see what their money is being used for.
"Trump expert witness paid nearly $900,000 for testimony in fraud case
An accounting expert who came to Donald Trump’s defense in his $250m fraud case has been paid nearly $900,000 in fees for his testimony, a court heard on Friday.
New York University Stern School of Business research professor Eli Bartov testified on Thursday that he had found “no evidence here of concealment” in his review of the financial statements at the heart of the case.
Questioned by lawyers for New York’s attorney general, Bartov said the money had come from the Trump Organization and the former president’s political action committee, Save America."

Trump better hope that a hired gun is more convincing than the accounting firm that had him as a client for years. Your financials have to be really fucked up for an accounting firm to decide that you are not worth the risk anymore and would rather just not have you as a client because you're not worth it to them when they take into consideration the risk-reward factor.

... He's considoured a "expert witness" ... Just like
when hospitals being sued or suing somebody will
bring in "expert witnesses" to testify.
A rather accepted practice... paying for expert witness
testimony... Doctor Wecht - a brilliant medical fellow
from Pittsburgh - has surely perfected the craft.
... Odd that YOU don't seem to have a knowledge
of this concept.

Salty, I think everyone who read this understood exactly what the OP was alluding to but you. Perhaps you should read the subject title and the 1st two sentences of his thread and give it a bit more thought so you can comprehend it and address accordingly... I'm pretty sure his post had jack shit to do with whether expert witnesses are warranted in the courtroom. Stay adorable and special though. LOL

Trump etal already agreed to a bench trial.
That trial found him guilty of fraud already.
They are merely determining what level of fraud in terms of punishment. (Fines)
You must not be aware that the guilty part being in the PAST.
Did Fox News tell you they were still gonna throw the case out?? Lolling

Stop being so damn patronizing, McLame. The thread title is "witness for Trump gets paid". Seems the OP left out the word "expert". Why? To suggest it was a factual witness whose testimony was "bribed". Anyone who glances only at the thread title would NOT know the OP was alluding to an expert witness.
Expert witnesses always charge a fee to testify and prepare the costly reports they submit at trial. Nothing wrong with that.
On the other hand, factual witnesses are not supposed to get paid. That would look like "witness tampering". Taking money would taint and undermine the credibility of their testimony.
The OP ought to work for the Washington Post - they do this misleading shit every day. Especially on Trump stories. That's why he calls them "dishonest" and "fake news". They work hard to earn their sleazy reputation!

There are 2 major newspapers in this country that lean left -- the NY Times and the Washington Post. And there are 2 major newspapers that lean right -- the NY Post and the Washington Times. The NY Times has won 132 Pulitzers. WAPO has won 68. The NY Post and Washington Times, zero.
Now you will tell me that the people who determine who win the Pulitzer Prizes are "dishonest".

I counted 4 ardent never ending Trump supporters that have posted. Not surprising what they posted.
Anything for Donald.

Honestly, this is like Trump shooting someone on the streets of Manhattan and his worshippers flocking to excuse the act. But that dude won’t get his 900 large. Ever.
This discussion begs other questions:
1) How can an orange man have such pink hands?
2) I wonder if they ever proved that the moon landing was filmed in a studio? Is that still under counsiudeuratioun?

So anyone who calls you out for being deliberately misleading in the title of this thread gets falsely characterized as an "ardent, never ending Trump supporter"?
Is that all you got? Weak.

The word "expert" is included twice in the original post. Looks like you were not able to read it.
But in reality, it looks more like you have an agenda.....as you do this constantly.
