How effective are provider ads and how do hobbyist select a provider?

For me ads are only effective in telling me who's currently working in a given week and by identifying potential new talent. Otherwise its a maze of weird fonts, hearts and the splash signs I mostly ignore.

Providers: I assume an add generates a shit ton of PMs and calls but by the time you screen do you realize a good return or does your profile generate more business?

I tend to select by profiles:

Age: 25-35
Dallas - duh
Race - Latina, Mixed, Caucasian and in that order
Stats - natural or enhanced - 24-28 - 34-38 (I rarely deviate from this type)
Brunette only
Reputable and I prefer the really feisty ones in the threads

I don't think I ever contacted a provider based on her ad

I get more business from my participation in the open forums than i do my ads, threADs and reviews....

However I would say that my reviews bring me business...i have some pretty great reviews....and I'm complimented on that alot....

But my posts in coed.....are what bring me to the attention of certain men from this site..and makes them interested in meeting me for more adult fun...

Being highly visual, confirmation (review, comments, etc) that the current pics in the ads and showcases are accurate go a long way in my selection process.

There are a lot of ads that contains only text and no pics, some with text and no pics or showcase. If there are no pics in the ad I don't bother reading the text in the ad. My interest is usually peaked through ads (with pics) and reviews, which leads me to the showcase/postings.

Why is BP successful?? PICTURES!! Most guys are visual creatures.

When you are available.
General geographical location (uptown, 820/35, etc)
Current pricing.
Contact info
Link to profile.

I think so many ads get posted at once that it helps but only so much. Being seen on the boards, glancing at the ISO, and such seems to help more. Sometimes I post pictures but not if i don't have many new ones. I wish we could post a daily ad or mini ad when we are one.

It is interesting to see how hobbyist choose their providers.

I get my appt from the ad and from just putting myself out in the open on the broad.
I like to post photos , location ,dates .rates,
really every thing you need to know about me
will be in my ad as in my showcase.

Participation in your open forums will help your business....the guys are lurking and posting along with you... discussions and all....they want to see us ladies participate... with opinions, thoughts, ideas and even bragging on skills.....so they know who to go check out.....

I like to include the things I think a gent might want to know about me in order to book at a glance:
location, rates, menu, booking procedure, and PICTURES....

Although the as are useful, I think more of my inquiries come from my reviews, social media, and board participation.

The weekday and weekend ads are great, but like the other ladies said, being able to post daily or more frequently would be great. I have a FT RW job and am not available every day, but throughout the week, by appointment. It would be great to be able to post more "available now" type ads. For the ladies in more populated hobby cities, an ad posted on say a Monday, can quickly drown amongst the other ads and how many pages are the guys gonna scroll?
