Yep. Pretty bad feeling once I realized last month what the prices are there after booking my hotel. If I go again, I'm going to get a hotel closer to beach or second road. The walk down soi diana to second for the bus was killer in the heat and humidity.

Check out the Blackwoods Hotel on Soi 7. Opened about a year ago. 1/2 way btw the beach and 2nd Rd.. Nice rooms and reasonable prices. When I go back in Feb. staying there again.

Areca is apparently girl friendly (I didn't have any problems), but they had a 500 thb joiner fee. Thankfully because my room was in the second building I was able to bypass the lobby every time

Is the 3-4k short time inclusive of barfines too? Or is it bar fine + short time fee?

Bar fine separate. Negotiate with the girl for short or long time.

thailand seems all of the place on ST prices. Another forum states at Thermae in BKK 2500baht for young 20 something 9/10 girl but at GOGOs this is reporting 4k plus barfine. Others say that if u get quotes like 5k for ST they are just not into you and trying to outprice you so you go away

Thermae has been ruined by our fellow Korean and Japanese mongers paying crazy prices. GoGo's prices have always been higher but now are crazy. Some places in Pattaya they raised the BF's to 1500 Bhat.
