B.B. KING… Buried Today in his Hometown of Indianola, Mississippi.
RILEY B. KING… born September16, 1925 died May14, 2015 Age 89 Rock ‘N Roll would not exist if it were not for Gentleman such as this, R.I.P.Mr. King we will sadly miss you but your Music is EVERLASTING!!!
Well Played Coast_Encounter... B.B.King's reign as 'King of the Blues', had been as long as that of any monarch on earth.
Yet B.B.King continued to wear his crown well. Until he passed at age 89,
he was light on his feet, singing and playing the Blues with relentless passion!!!
I was a student at Southern Mississippi in 1969, away from home & no car. The Thrill is Gone came out and I truly knew what the Blues were. This song introduced me to the Blues; will never forget it!!

Naughtyangle4U... from one Mississippi Girl to another I'm certain there is another little girl
sitting on the back-porch saying, "Grandma who is singing that song?"
Time had no apparent effect on B.B.... other than to make him more Popular, more Cherished, more Relevant than ever.
He NEVER Retired... he was out on the road until his death playing for people,
and laying down tracks for his next album. B.B.King's music will live on forever, and a grateful world will never get enough of him.
long live in our hearts and souls...you were the legend!
DallasRain spoken from the 'True Heat of E.C.C.I.E'... B.B. King will forever define the Blues
for a worldwide audience, b.t.w. your new Avatar is exquisite the absolute best one as of yet.
You have to experience life in order to have the heart for blues. B.B. King did that and more. Rest in Peace
When You Are Ready I could not have said that any better myself...
as proud Sons and Daughters of the great state of Mississippi,
we have undoubtedly lost one of OUR very best.
B.B. Kings career spanned over SEVEN Decades,
I believe the good Lord knew he was exhausted and brought him on Home.
I was fortunate to have seen him live three times. I cried the morning he died.
JustaNOLAguy... I cry for him and for the loss of yet another Cultural Icon;
it is documented that he would sometimes play in as many as four towns a night,
while today's Mega Stars can barely make it through their entire Tour.
