Looks like Jaromir Jagr is having a hell of a first game as a Star. I was skeptical when they signed him but I would love to see him have a decent season and help us actually get to the playoffs this year

I assume you watched it on TV, which is horrible because it does not do it justice. The game is just too fast and poor camera angles.

Hockey must be seen in person. My opinion, the best place to watch a hockey game is from behind one of the goals about 15-20 rows high or lower. From that vantage point you see the beauty of the defenders backskating and the speed & power of the forward skaters, not to mention the goalies agility. The speed, power & finesse of these good-sized men is
phenomenal.

Back before the little girl got killed by a stray puck several years ago, and they put up netting above the end glass at all venues, seats just above the level of the glass was dangerous, but exciting.

I have more fun at hockey games then any Pro sport in town, not even close. It's the only one I can say is exciting! But again, only in person do I feel that way about it. It's too damn fast for TV.

Stars when 4-3, Great start Jagr

Stars win 4-3. All goals scored by players in their 40s. Go Greys!!!

I was there...awesome game! Jagr was phenomenal...and Manslut is correct; if there ever was a sport that sucks on TV, it's professional hockey.

You missed outl was stressful though. Still, hands down, the best hockey game I've ever seen was the return from the last lockout when we played the LA Kings. Down 4-0 at the end of the first period, we booed them off. Then they rallied to win 5-4. Better even than the 2007 all star game that was here.

Though one has to think, with the frequency of the lockouts and the hover wheeling surge in attendance after each one....hummm.
