The camps for the 21st century

I'm going to mention some things that have been mentioned previously but most of you probably don't remember because it lacked context and relevance to today.
The English philosopher Jeremy Bentham (1748-1832) developed an idea for prison reform called the Panopticon. Not really a new idea but new in this instance being used for societal control. The idea is to have a circular prison around a central tower. Each cell would house four to six inmates and everything that they did would be visible to the occupants (the guards) of the central tower. Windows to the tower would be shuttered and the entrance was hidden from the inmates. The purpose being that no inmate would know if the window had a watching guard or not. The purpose was that if a single inmate violated a rule then everyone in the cell was punished. Not a modern prison punishment but an 1800 English prison punishment which could include denial of food, water, or a severe beating to every cellmate. After a time, the others in the cell would be conditioned to punish the unruly inmate so that the guards would not. After a time, the guards could be removed as the convicts would mete out punishment as a way of receiving credit or avoiding punishment.
Along comes Michel Foucault (1926-1984) from France. Remember that Foucault is a leftist and a socialist. However, Foucault used the Panopticon as an example of how a population could be trained to adhere to certain principals. He was worried about political correctness before the term was invented. His idea that people in the public eye (this was before the Internet and social media) would worry about the masses perceptions of themselves. An individual would alter their behavior, speech, and thoughts to avoid punishment and to gain praise. In 1980, they were called celebrities and public people. It became important for Hollywood celebrities to support the correct causes and to mock the incorrect causes. Jane Fonda and her boyfriend Tom Hayden taught acting to a bunch of young people including Robb Lowe, Ally Sheedy...well, most of the Brat Pack and more. Part of their "acting" education was knowing how to pick the correct cause. These causes were all liberal and the more radical the better.
Today, everyone on social media is facing the same pressure to conform to the correct causes. Now we have what they call the "cancel culture" which Foucault warned us about. Say, do, or post the wrong thing and the left will try to have you fired, condemned, harassed, and ostracized from the rest.
Now a couple of weeks ago, someone brought up the idea of camps to be used to imprison the right wingers. Many here laughed about that. What those feeble minded people with little imagination don't understand that those camps already exist. They are not made of wire, posts, or guards. Those camps are social media. I have almost a zero social media footprint. ECCIE and Breitbart being the two usual places that I post. Imagine a Biden administration intent on punishing the right. Don't laugh, AOC and her squad along with some of the high officers in Google and Facebook have already came out in favor of reconciliation squads. They want to publicly identify anyone and everyone who supported Trump or right wing policies. With the internet they can do just that. What happens next? Not government, but public pressure can be brought to bear on your employer to get rid of you in order to satisfy the left. Just as Germany banned Jews from professional occupations like doctor, lawyer, and teachers in the early 1930s, you can lose your job, your reputation, and the ability to find a new job once you are doxed. Without that job many will not have healthcare nor money. They (that means we) will be forced to relocate to places (think towns or states) where the typical employer doesn't care or supports would the right believes. The left would start to "concentrate" the right into fewer states and fewer cities reducing our political clout at the polls. What happens when only six or seven states are red when it comes to national elections or federal laws? In time, about the time AOC becomes president, the federal government can start crushing states by with holding federal funds. Remember, according to the left, the US Constitution is some quaint old document written by a bunch of slave owners, racists, and sexists. It will be cancelled with our rights.
A smart progressive would make sure that the independent right states would be separated from each other for greater control; Idaho and Wyoming, Kansas and Missouri, Alabama and Mississippi, and maybe Alaska would all be contained. Your banking privileges that we take for granted may not be available in states other than where you're supposed to be living. Travel would be difficult especially when gasoline is six dollars a gallon. The word "reservation" comes to mind. Go to a "reservation" and see how the native Americans live...unless they get a casino with permission of the federal government. It wouldn't take too long under liberal control of all three branches of government. 20-30 years are all they need.
At some point the military would have to be screened for political awareness instead of patriotism. As a veteran I have to listen to idiots say that the military will put down a rebellion. The military are taught to think and understand their oath; follow your LAWFUL orders issued by the men and women appointed above you (that means military chain of command) and to protect this country from all enemies, both foreign and domestic. Of course, over time, they will stop teaching that and just indoctrinate the military to follow orders like good little fascists.
This has become a very long post and I'm sure that some of the feeble minded and political hacks will do their best to make fun of it or failing that, ignore it. I know that they can't challenge it.

Many citizens are unaware of the government’s ability to see into their lives through the Internet. They live in ignorant bliss, thinking that their lives are any sort of private. And, because they don’t know they’re “imprisoned”, they don’t have the thought to protect their data, and fight back against those doing the surveillance.
