This is the best rebuttal to the word of faith heresy that I
have heard. Very long but if you bother to listen you will
learn something.

The word of faith (Modern Gnostic's)say: Serve God (Their teachings really)
and you can have guaranteed health, wealth, success, happiness and prosperity.

Tony Robbins says follow my teaching and you can have Unlimited Power.

Is it any wonder that the latter two are the most popular.

I find it somewhat amusing that this topic is one that seems to unite the liberals and conservatives of the board...

@Bojulay: Can you summarize the videos for those of us who are simply too lazy to watch them? Also for those of us who haven't been following most of the other threads, can you tell us what "word of faith heresy" is? (I honestly don't know)

Basically they are people that promote faith in faith not faith in God.
The belief that faith is a force by which all your hopes and dreams can be
realized if you can just exercise enough of it.

A kind of ordering God around to comply with their wants and desires.

It puts man on the same level as God while at the same time lowering God
down to our level.

They believe every Christian can be divinely healthy, wealthy, and prosperous,
and you can call these things into being through faith, but they seem to need
your money to get it done for themselves. It makes a kind of mockery of the cross
of Christ. Christ died so we can all have Cadillac's and million dollar mansions.
