Is your question and observation based on the assumption that intelligent adults don't use protection? Just curious why you would assume what you do.

Mike does not realize that the hobby is not real and that we only download porn to masturbate by.

Well, here is some info for you. But I doubt it will help. I have a couple employees that love to freak out. When they heard that Dallas county has the highest rate of new HIV cases in the US they did what they do best: freak out. Mind you, my business has nothing to do with sex, they're just idiots. To calm them down I did what I do best: Math. After pulling the numbers of new cases a year and total known cases in Dallas County and population, I calculated that the chance of picking up a complete random stranger with HIV was about 0.15%. Can't remember the exact number, sorry. This calmed them down a bit. But I told them something very important: Those numbers are that low because people use PROTECTION. If they stopped the chances of catching HIV would increase dramatically. Now a good thing to remember is that that 0.15% is HIV only, and does not include other STDs.

Now, about your actual question, it's stupid. All those teachers that said there are no stupid questions, they are wrong. There is no way to obtain that info. What do you suggest? Going up to street walkers and asking if they have STDs? Ask BBL? Best case scenario, you get ignored or a sarcastic response. Worst, a beating.

Now on a brighter note, as Scotland was having a rampant STD issue they came up with a strange solution. They legalized prostitution and regulates it. To get a license they had pass a course that turned them into sex ed instructors. The program also supplied them with all the supplies they needed. It brought the spread of STDs to a halt.

If you really want to know, you need to get educated. The Centers for Disease control has good information and some fairly reliable statistics. http://www.cdc.gov/std/

Their HIV section disappoints me because unlike the other diseases, they obfuscate the stats so I don't know how many people in a hundred or a thousand might be infected.

However, other fact sheets are easy to read. Like the one on herpes:
http://www.cdc.gov/std/herpes/STDFact-Herpes.htm
Quote:
Genital HSV-2 infection is more common in women (approximately one out of five women 14 to 49 years of age) than in men (about one out of nine men 14 to 49 years of age). Transmission from an infected male to his female partner is more likely than from an infected female to her male partner.
One out of five women in the US have herpes. That includes your mom, your wife, your daughter, your grandmother, etc... So the other thing to consider is "The Risk Group".

Teens are the number one risk group for most STD's last time I looked. Prostitutes and drug users, especially IV, were the next highest risk group.

Mikeishobby, you have to realize that the people playing here are a high risk group because of multiple sex partners. The group also is mixed with the other risk groups I mentioned. There are teen girls as well as many who are just out of their teens. Many of the people who play here are also drug users. Unfortunately, the guidelines prohibit talking at length about that in depth here.

The point is that the statistics in the hobby are most likely to be higher than the national average. If you are not assuming that everone has something, then you are probably being naive. That is just my opinion.

Stay safe.

Considering what we all do here, we're probably more careful, aware and safer than the general public. Six years, around 80 girls and never even had an itch to scratch, Mikeishobby.

Being paranoid about it won't be a fun hobby for you, man.

Prolongus, thanks. That's makes me feel a little better.

I really don't think my question is stupid. STD's you get from sex, this board is all about sex... See the connection?

I have never had an STD, I always wear a condom. Just wondering about it because it really doesn't look like a huge topic on this board.

I have been with 3 working girls. Only had sex once because I'm just a little unsure for the safety factor. Sorry if I offended anyone.
