Police say a large party was happening at the rented Airbnb with as many as 200 people in attendance. Police say many of the attendees were underage.

As many as 50 shots were fired inside the house and around 50 more shots were fired outside the house, police say.

When police arrived in the area, more shots were being fired and several young people were running on foot and leaving in cars from an Airbnb property at Suismon Street and Madison Avenue.



From the Mayor:

“At least 10 gunshot victims, two lives lost, and hundreds of lives forever changed, because we have yet to pass meaningful legislation to lessen the amount of guns in our streets or provide the much-needed resources to communities desperately need. The time is now for us to move with a sense of urgency to bring justice to the victims and peace to our city.

We have been working on our approach to address gun violence in our city over the past several weeks. Now we will be calling a meeting with public safety and key community leaders to introduce our All In Citywide approach to public safety to get their feedback so we can build a path forward together.

It is critical that we come together now to help reduce the violence currently happening while we begin to do the long-term work of ending the culture of violence that is enabling the senseless loss of life we are experiencing today.

We must say no more and never again.”

is one o' those "Defund the Police" people - who believe that
mental counselours can do a BETTER job than police.

We don't know enough to cobble together meaningful legislation. Underage? Did these people have guns illegally? Seems like the current laws are not working or the DA is not prosecuting gun crimes enough. So, who rented the AirBNB...a minor or a parent for a minor's party? Need more information and good information.

Over one hundred shots fired and only 10 hits two being mortally wounded. Thank God these idiots can't shoot very well.

Suspect in South Carolina mall shooting on house arrest after judge sets $25,000 bond

The suspect in a South Carolina mall shooting in which nine people were wounded has been released under house arrest and ordered to wear an ankle monitor after a judge set a $25,000 surety bond.


The suspect, Jewayne Price, is also barred from contacting any of the victims, Columbia police said on Twitter.


Price will be allowed to travel from his home to work while he is under house arrest.


Neither Price nor his attorney could immediately be reached for comment.

That's how you know it was a minority.

For any mass shooting where deaths > wounded you know the shooter was white, where wounded > killed, the shooter was a minority.

Apparently good aim is another RAYCISS concept.
