and I think that the Son of Sam law should also apply to those acquitted for heinous crimes such as this one.
she shouldn't be allowed to make a cent off the death of her daughter.
that bitch is going straight to hell without passing go.

Maybe they will have her in a pictorial or movie with O.J.Simpson and name the thing 'Scott Free'.
Thanks to Kentucky Fried movie for this idea.

The media made her a "celebrity" ... Hustler is just cashing in, so is she.
It cannot, and won't, be done, but if the media would muzzle these kinds of stories and banish them to "the back page" ... we wouldn't even have this thread. But the average viewers like soap operas, train wrecks, automoible collisions, and murder, so long as they are just spectators.
As far as going to hell, if she did this to her daughter, she is in hell.

Daphne, you're so right. Unfortunately she was acquitted of the more serious charges. However, we, as a society, can take some comfort from the fact that she will probably never be able to bank on her story.
Firstly, there has been speculation that she might write a book. I don't believe this is a viable option for her. After all, the publisher will cover all bases by offering a small advance (100k) and a percentage of the profits. Therefore, the book has to be a success for her to make any money. Her story really isn't all that compelling/interesting, so I doubt it would sell any units.
Plus, let's not forget what happened to OJ's book. The project was forced into disillusionment due to public outcry.
I also think her TV deal wouldn't work for the same reasons. Also, a silver screen film wouldn't work-not very cinematic.
So, in short, Casey Anthony is up a creek without a paddle. She won her freedom, but she is going to have a hard time making ends meet.
Maybe she could become a provider. I'd 50 bucks for a bbbj from those famous lips. I'm only joking. Her mother, on the other hand......

A girl has got to make some money . . . Would you feel different if she became an accomplished actress?

The key word in your post is "aquitted". That means "not guilty". Granted, not the same as "innocent", but in the eyes of the law, she is free to go about Her life
Surley you don't mean that people who go through the court system and are aquitted should still be punished. Granted, the vast majority of people feel that she did have some part in the death of that child, but we cannot tear up the Constitution.
Chalk it up as one that got away. We either believe in our Justice System, or not.

So, if you're found not guilty of a crime that the majority of the people consider really bad, you should not be allowed to make a living? Trial by polls? This thinking is whack. If Michael Vick had been found not guilty, he could not go back to the NFL? But guilty, he can?
You don't like what happened with the case or what you think she did? Don't buy Hustler. Don't buy the book. Don't watch the inevitable made for TV movie. Don't watch the interviews which she eventually will give and get paid for. And for the love of God, turn off Nancy Grace. It's the people who hate her the most, who are driving this gravy train. Stop watching, buying, etc. and see how quickly the media moves on.
BTW, I'm not defending her. I'm defending the system. Flawed as it may be, it's better than trial by mob.

The philosophical reason that juries in this country do not "find" a person "innocent" is that they are "presumed innocent" when the trial begins and continue to be "presumed innocent" after the jury determines that there was insufficient evidence to find them guilty, which results in a verdict of "not guilty."
The media and the media groupies "presume guilt" .. unless, of course, it is their "time up to bat" and then they demand the full plate of inalienable rights, including the presumption of innocence.
If one has never been accused of something one did not do, or accused of being something that one is not, then one will not comprehend the concept.
Something along the lines of ... judge not, least you be judged ..
...and walking in another's moccasins .... all wrapped in one.

People, and women especially, across this country have lost their damn minds over this chick...she's innocent...
Let it go, she's a free citizen again just like you are...she should take the money and relish in spending the shit out of it as a free woman. Besides, it'll help our economy...

Bottom line, she won't get any legit offers that will yield any real cash. Plus, I don't think she is bold enough to do any adult work.
