Unable to see pics in posts since the update.

I haven't had issues viewing embedded/linked photos until the recent update. Now, I can't view photos in posts. Does anyone know a work around?

I've been running into this issue as well. Seems to be something related to Cox for me.

Looks like it only affect images linked as attachments. External photos appear to work fine.

Also forgot to mention the following,

I tried 3 browsers on one PC, 2 browsers on a 2nd machine, and on my iPad/iPhone over wifi, and none of them would display images attached to posts.

I connected using a PC that is not using Cox as an ISP and it worked. When I left home and tested from iPhone again, I could see the pics, but once I refreshed back at home, they did not show up.

So to me it appears to be something with displaying attached (not linked) photos over Cox. If an image is linked via an external URL (imagecoast, BP, etc) it shows up fine. I appear to be able to view showcase photos fine as well.

There may be something to the ISP suggestion as it doesn't look like there's any problem with your account. Adonis, are you able to log in using a different internet provider?

I can see them on the mobile site but not at home - both via AT&T internet.

The thing about using internet service provided by a hotel is some of them will filter out adult content.

For the record, I have no issues viewing the pictures and I am using a laptop running Windows 7 Pro hooked up to Time-Warner.

Sounds like you guys are having ISP related problems.

Most ISP's DNS servers will block some pictures hosts.

Change your DNS Servers to google and openDNS (for this one I would recommending signging up and removing the filters they put up which may block porn sites and redirect url typos, but it's fast).

Google DNS: 8.8.8.8
Google DNS: 8.8.4.4
OpenDNS: 208.67.222.222
OpenDNS: 208.67.220.220




The best way to do this is change the DNS on your home router so that it covers your wifi devices.

There are so many different routers, devices, and operating systems that I'm not going to bother posting on how to do this (google is your friend:

should do the trick .)

If you want it machine specific then do it on the machine you're using. You can also do it on your device by setting it up in the wifi connections.

If I were you, I'd either get a personal mobil hotspot or a VPN. Last time I was at a hotel, I used my phone to snatch someone's session on a gay hookup site and told one of them, using the other guy's account, that I contracted the flu and couldn't make it.

Major wireless provider's Android 4.4 (kitkat) doesn't load a few pics from a KC Coed thread "Fun & UN photoshppped".
Specifically posts 59, 60, 80 & 81 where just the "attached image" bracket is presented.
Can see those fine on a different tablet and on a desktop
