Why using a Gmail account will save your ass

Gmail may or may not be the generic email choice for all but using it or some other service like it where you can give no personal info to set one up means it is also disposable.

I like Gmail because if for some stupid reason the cops get a hold of a device I use to access it, I can use another device to kill off the account all together (or my "privacy cleaner" aka someone who will do it when I die or if I call them from jail)

I had a friend get busted for some non hobby issue but it was a serious charge and before the cops could dig through the PC and phone they got from his apartment he was out on bail and 1st thing he did was get to a pc and kill off about 4 Gmail accounts he used for the nonsense that got him in trouble.

When the D.A. finally got into his phone and laptop they were not happy that the emails/contacts they were looking for were gone.

no, my friend did which is how I learned about this.

I like my privacy and have read posts on various sites where someone took their pc in for some work and the techs discover porn (legit or otherwise) on it and the cops are called in for investigation.

Periodically someone begins a thread and/or posts a response in an existent thread in which it is stated and/or implied that they just eliminate their "secret" stuff from their phone or PC so that "cops" can't discover it when inspecting their equipment. It actually lulls folks into believing that they can "eliminate" their "bad stuff" and the "cops" can't get it.
