Elon Musk is not just smart. He is a genius. He did not go from thinking Trump was a clown a couple of years ago to becoming his biggest champion because he had some big epiphany that he was wrong about Trump.

He did a lot for Trump in this election. Musk does not work for free. After he is done manipulating Trump into whatever position he wants in the government, I can't even imagine the billions of dollars he will have made after Trump's 4 years are up (assuming Trump does not get assassinated, get 25th'd or impeached) during his scheduled term.

The good thing about Musk though is I think he will be harmless for the most part with whatever government position he wants. Yeah, he is greedy and will enrich himself further, but he is the richest man in the world so that's to be expected. He did not become that rich by being a saint.

Bill Gates once made a huge short position on Tesla, and Musk asked, "Why do you do this? Why do you short Tesla?"

Gates replied, "Well, I talked to my financial advisor, I looked at the data analysis, and I think it's overvalued, so I will make money by shorting it."

Musk responded, "Why do you care about making this little money? I thought you supported electric cars, supported climate change, and wanted to save the world. How could you bet on Tesla's failure just to make a little money?"

Then he turned away disappointed.

This incident made Naval realize that Musk is a purist. He means what he says. For him, money is just a tool to achieve his goals. So it's crazy to be willing to believe everything he says on the surface, because many people who set ambitious goals are just to inspire others, but you know they don't really mean it.

Perhaps you knew, Trump was making $30 Million per day for the entire month of October on the stock. But how do you actually/factually know that he wasn't also playing the short side for after the election?!?
