White House End Tours, Will Throw Birthday Bash for the First Lady
This President is so phony and corrupt. I'm amazed at how many on here keep believing his lies and supporting him. He doesn't give a damn about you! Open your eyes!
Article:
Last week, the White House announced that it would end its tour program due to spending cuts — known as the sequester — that took effect earlier this month. While the White House claims that ending the tours will save some $74,000 per week, ABC News recently noted that the figure is closer to $18,000 per week.
It’s hard for the White House to talk about these draconian cuts that are going to shut down White House tours, which are difficult to get in the first place, when they’re throwing a birthday party extravaganza for First Lady Michelle Obama that will feature Adele and Beyonce:
Preparations are already underway for Michelle Obama’s big 50th birthday next January, and two of music’s biggest acts have reportedly been booked for the occasion.
An unnamed (and potentially questionable) source told the UK’s Daily Mail that the first lady has asked Beyonce and Adele to perform at her party.
“America’s first lady will be holding a huge celebrity-packed party for her birthday at the White House next year and, as she adores Adele and Beyonce, she has asked them both to sing,” an unnamed source told The Daily Mail. “Adele has graciously accepted and waived her usual fee for the high-profile private performance. She will sing a selection of her most-loved hits for the first lady and her friends.”
Granted, the singers aren’t going to get paid. But while the White House keeps talking up the spending cuts that it says are unreasonable, why are they holding such a big birthday bash? After all, the sequester was President Obama’s idea. He signed it into law. Why isn’t the White House scaling back some of the excess, instead of partying with pop stars? How about those famous golf trips? It doesn’t look like President Obama will be ending those taxpayer-funded trips to the links.
The goal of the cuts has to been to make them sound as unpopular as possible to get the most public reaction, a strategy that didn’t work too well before the cuts, which aren’t even really cuts as far as it goes. One U.S. park ranger, for example, told Fox News that supervisors wanted to push spending cuts that vistors would see.
Despite all of its positioning and posturing on the sequester, President Obama has no interest in sharing any sacrifice. None whatsoever. While it may be a small issue, it speaks volumes to the how this President views his role in times when Washington is tightening the belt, even as ever so slightly as it’s having to do with the sequester.

It's the "let them eat cake" syndrome. Why don't they cut a part of the pigs, 27 member staff? What the fuck does she need 27 people to help her do? Fucking cocksuckers, I will bet they make way more than minimum wage also.

Oh, a husband shouldn't give a birthday party for his wife? The president of the most powerful nation in the world should hunker down in his bunker like, well, YOU, and not host any state affairs?
What a dipshit! Your crying knows no limit, Whiny!
Yeah, I don't remember any birthday parties for Laura Bush, or her father-in-law's mother, Barbara!
Talk about "let them eat cake!" Barbara's post-Katrina jag continues to be a classic!

Good News! The tours can resume, Donald Trump is willing to foot the bill
A good CNN link http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com...omment-page-2/
Quote:
(CNN) – Real estate titan Donald Trump said he'll cover the costs to keep the White House tours open for rest of the fiscal year, an idea proposed online last week by former House Speaker Newt Gingrich.
The White House announced Tuesday it was suspending the tours through September 30 as a consequence of the forced spending cuts-known in Washington as the sequester–that began taking effect March 1. The tours stopped running on Friday.

Once again....do it Dali!
Whatzup, Barbara Bush's post Katrina jag? You do know that Barbara Bush left the White House with her husband in 1993, twelve years before Katrina!
As for a husband giving his wife a birthday part...Go to Dave and Busters, buy your wife the best food they have to offer, let her play all the games, give her a diamond ring, and then go collect from every guest waiting outside to pay for it and not let them in. There you go Whatzup.
Lets call it what it is and have private business sponsor the White House tours. The West Wing brought to by Olympus Has Fallen. http://olympusmovie.com/

Campaign contributors have had "private tours" for years! Not a novel idea.

Geesh, what a bunch of twits. It's pretty obvious that COG only posts threads like this just to watch you Liberal dupes go ape shit over it. It's like his own personal gag reel.
