Should go without saying but be careful. Looking through the local yearbooks PC popped about 5 girls with two kinds of charges about a week ago. Don't know where it's heading but take care.

A mod can correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think we're allowed to post links that contain real-life info (which includes news articles and arrest records). But, you could probably use Google to help you look for recent arrests in Bay County.

Yes sorry for the vagueness but wasn't 100 percent on the rules that'll get me banned or the post taken down.

But look between (Staff edit) I'll be honest it's made me back away from the hobby. One girl was reporting on her Snapchat that they kept her phone for evidence no telling what she didn't delete or the case they're building. Not trying to panic people just sharing my perspective.

This is why I always use a cheap prepaid "burner phone" for the hobby. You can get cheap flip phones for only about 20 bucks (don't need a sophisticated smart phone to send/receive calls and texts). If the number's info gets out there or if you THINK it has, just throw the phone away, buy a new phone and get a new number. Buy the phone and airtime with CASH. It's a lot harder to track cash transactions. Second tip: If you're married or have a girlfriend, find a GOOD hiding spot for that phone. Women like to snoop and find things to start arguments about. (lol) This should go without saying.

An alternative: Open a new Gmail account and enter false name info. Use that account to make a Google Voice account with a new Google Voice number. However, using this method, you'll need to download the Google Voice app on your phone (which COULD be tracked via your computer/phone's IP Address when you make the account, so do this at your own risk. This is for those who don't want to buy a second phone and airtime).

I have used a "burner phone" for quite a while now, and I always take precautions to keep it anonymous, ie, everything in cash, etc, (my choice is a bit more advanced than a flip phone for a little bit more expense), but whatever... that being said, tech savvy types seem to prefer the email route these days, and there are a lot more choices than just Gmail out there (yahoo for example, there are tons of them) maybe there's more than one way to skin a cat, idk ... I've been looking lately to an alternative hobby site that is certainly less restrictive than this one, but they just don't have much if any activity in this area... it's a lot like this site used to be and was designed to be...I wish we would all move there, it already exists...
