Chuck Shumer is welcoming the Texas Democrats who fled Texas to Washington DC, to make sure the special session in Texas could not proceed.


Shumer says he is proud of these Democrats for fleeing to, wait for it, "protect the rights of the minority party" while at the same time, calling for the elimination of the filibuster in the US Senate, which was put there for, wait for it, the protection of the minority parties rights.


And we wonder why nobody trusts these people.


Texas Gov. says he will have every one of them arrested ( on what charge I don't know ) when they return and bring them in handcuffs if necessary, back to vote.


Thing is, most of these Democrats have jobs other than their legislative duties that they will eventually have to get back to if they want to keep those jobs unless they have some very understanding bosses.

texas has a law that permits the Sargent-at-arms to arrest representatives for failing to show up.

And when asked to produce such a person who, one would think, would be easy enough to do since there are so many of them, they have not. Why not? Simply produce a couple of people who can explain and verify how these new laws would "prevent/ restrict" them from voting.


Wouldn't that be the simplest way to win the argument? But they won't because any person coming forward to make such a statement would be made a fool of and they know it.


And when asked, no Democrat from Biden to the newest Senator can specifically point to a measure in either the Georgia law or the Texas law and explain how it resembles Jim Crow. Sure it's easy for Biden to say it but explain it? Not a chance in hell he could do that.


Biden has become a pathological liar. Something Democrats use to say should get one impeached.
