This has "Only in Texas" written all over it. I think I speak for anyone who has ever been run thru the system down here when I say that down here in Texas, especially the RGV, there is no constitution, no civil rights, no justice. There are only personal opinions and outlandish excuses to marginalize your rights and the facts. The fact of the matter is he used deadly force during the commission of a crime so a self defense claim is not applicable. However, it is relatively easy to sway people and take the focus away from your actions by discrediting your victim and convincing twelve people too stupid to talk their way out of jury duty that you weren't the bad guy in it all and that's exactly what this guy did. It's shitty and it's unjust but it happens all the time around here.
