I don't think it really matters if WU makes money on the board or not, or the news report was advertisement or not, I'm not reading post or surfing eccie because of him.

If he makes money good for him. I think he gets under some peoples skin, and when you fight back, it's like candy to him. Some people just enjoy pushing other peoples buttons. Don't think that is driving the board in the least.

I've got plenty of old friends just like him, so too me it's like sitting around a game of Settlers with a bunch nerds boosting and smack talking having a good time....though we never did have a bunch of hot woman listening in and making comments like on here...so not exactly the same...this is way better

I reminded everyone to stay on topic, which was NOT Wu, and people could not do it. I am too busy this weekend to listen to all the bitching and whining about points, so I just shut the thread down.

OSD, if you were going to answer OH, then you were gonna be off topic too. I do not give a shit how much hell anyone gives Wu. But as I said in my first post, they can start their own thread.

The thread was made to discuss implications of the DFW news article on Eccie. That was where it needed to stay.

It was WU's response TO the implications of the DFW news article that raised the issue of his financial ties to the site. I guess that seems to me to be a rather logical tangent to the original post. I wouldn't have locked it myself, but you're the Mod. It just seems like usually Coed threads are allowed to be a little free flowing.

It seems to me that everyone who pays for premium access or advertising on this site has made a financial investment. I would imagine that's as far as his investment goes, and he's purposefully allowing you all to assume he's this Machiavellian string puller because:
A) it's amusing,
B) it suits some unknown future purpose,
C) it's amusing.

Can I just say, for a random guy on the board, I hear more about WU than anyone else, and that's just unacceptable when I'm naked. At the very least, I should be hearing more about how good I look naked, and not about what fresh level of douchebaggery WU is involved in on that particular day. First of all, there are douchier douches out there. Second of all, feeding the monkeys just allows their gastric processes to flourish, and we all know what happens next.
Allowing an unseen, unknown poster on an anonymous board to wreck or control your day in any way is silly, and frankly, a little weak. There are plenty of legitimate things out there to concern yourself with. SC is giving away a little pussy for free, for example.
