Default Interesting study about police shootings.

New study by a professor at Harvard.

http://www.nber.org/papers/w22399.pdf

The media and other groups are promoting a lot of untruths. I am sure we will see a lot more claims unsupported by facts tomorrow night at the ESPYs.

Houston was one of the cities focused on by the author, blacks are 20% less likely to be shot by police than whites are here.

For the past 25 years the media has been like this and i'm not even talking about racial issues.

Channel 11 covered the study on its 10:00pm news last night.

HPD got a good report from them. Of course some interviewed were not so happy and cried foul.

Alton was a felon who was a horrible influence on kids.

Philando has a drinking and smoking pregnant girlfriend who recorded a minute after the shooting. Did the cop know he had a gun and really told him to go in his pocket?

I still hope the cops who killed them should be help on charges of 1st degree murder. The Alton murder was clearly murder regardless of my opinion of the guy. I want to see the dash cam on Philando's car, that will tell the story more clearly.

But still these 2 guys damn sure weren't worth 5 police officers getting killed.

Oh ya. Held on charges not help on charges. It's just an observation. If the cops aren't charged to the full extent (that they would deserve), there will be hell to pay. There evidently is a problem with police officers, there is no doubt. What's the solution?

The 2 that were basically sitting on Alton should be charged. I want to see the dash cam on the car of Philando. The public doesn't know if the officer told him to reach down or not to reach down.

Where I come to a road block is where I'm sad seeing a 13 year old boy cry on his dad's coffin and I say #bluelivesmatter. Then I get cussed by 2 black women whom I just cut off.

So I'm all for BLM movement if it's not anti-white, anti-police, or anti anything except excessive force and unnecessary police brutality. Because I am a provider, and I'm not looked up at by society but I'm not a danger to anyone. So it includes me too right? Or does it?

Fresno, Calif., Police Release Video of Fatal Shooting of 19 Year Old Unarmed White Man

http://www.theroot.com/articles/news...med-white-man/

Another police shooting of an unarmed white man. Check out the fourth shot from a 12 gauge shotgun while the kid is laying on the ground. But did you hear about it on CNN?

Don't watch CNN so I wouldn't know if they talked about it but I did see it posted on a lot of outlets when it was released. The first couple shots that took him down were reasonable. The one with the shotgun should be charged or at least be held accountable for being negligent. The family will probably get something. Not much but something.

They're not guilty.

On charges, lousy policy has been set by the current and previous Attorneys General. (both of which are crooked political Negro puppets of the NPOTUS)

Didn't you hear the FBI's findings on Hillary?

Don't be for it.

It promotes bitterness and hatred and compels Negros to ask for special treatment and favors.

They choose their destiny and need to earn success like the rest of us.....and quit crying about it.

According to the study linked, hispanics and blacks are also 50% more likely than whites to be the subject of non-lethal force used by police.

The study also does indicate a disturbing lack of data available as police departments don't seem to track data on use of force.

On a side note, I think the use of body cameras should be mandatory. It gives evidence both for the citizens (during police misconduct) and for the police (when they are acting properly). Seems like a win-win to me.

While Alton Sterling certainly was in no way a model citizen, I find it more than little bit suspicious that both officers' body cameras "came loose". Of course, we have no video and I don't believe the police have released the video from the body cameras even before they came loose?

Absolutely. And it has already been implemented across HPD and HCSO. It's an absolute must in this country.
