Check Your Sources, Check Their Sources
Some sources are better than others.
This place is okay, https://www.allsides.com/media-bias/media-bias-chart
You chart shows left, right, and middle sites. You can click a name for more detail. You can also search sites, but you need to sign up. I haven't done that.
I use this one, https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/
You can search sites or topics without signing up.
The bias rating doesn't have to be a deal breaker. Look for more information (e.g. Factual Reporting and Credibility).
For example, here are ratings for The Atlantic, https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/the-atlantic/
Bias Rating: LEFT-CENTER
Factual Reporting: HIGH
Country: USA
MBFC’s Country Freedom Rank: MOSTLY FREE
Media Type: Magazine
Traffic/Popularity: High Traffic
MBFC Credibility Rating: HIGH CREDIBILITY
As counterexamples...
MSNBC, https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/msnbc/
Bias Rating: LEFT
Factual Reporting: MIXED
Country: USA
MBFC’s Country Freedom Rank: MOSTLY FREE
Media Type: TV Station
Traffic/Popularity: High Traffic
MBFC Credibility Rating: MEDIUM CREDIBILITY
Fox News, https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/fox-news-bias/
Questionable Reasoning: Conspiracy Theories, Pseudoscience, Propaganda, Poor Sources, Numerous Failed Fact Checks
Bias Rating: RIGHT
Factual Reporting: MIXED
Country: USA
MBFC’s Country Freedom Rank: MOSTLY FREE
Media Type: TV Station/Website
Traffic/Popularity: High Traffic
MBFC Credibility Rating: LOW CREDIBILITY
Sometimes the source is okay, but look to see if it is an opinion or Op-Ed piece. Sometimes otherwise credible sources will publish opinion pieces without doing any fact-checking (e.g. "It's not our opinion, but here it is...").
Sometimes you have to look at the sources of a source.
Here is an interesting .gov rating I found...
GOP.gov, https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/gop-g...e-republicans/
Reasoning: Propaganda, Complete lack of Transparency
Bias Rating: RIGHT
Factual Reporting: MIXED
Country: USA
MBFC’s Country Freedom Rating: MOSTLY FREE
Media Type: Website
Traffic/Popularity: Minimal Traffic
MBFC Credibility Rating: LOW CREDIBILITY
I did look for a similar .gov site for Democrats in the House, but couldn't find one. Feel free to post it if you find it.

I don't think you're going to find a lot of people around here interested in facts, truth or media bias.
Providing credible citations for claims used to be one of the unwritten rules of this forum.
Now the Republican (Trump) Party itself is judged to be a promoter of propaganda and a low credibility source of information.
But that's been their gameplan from top to bottom since Trump came down from Mount Sinai with his golden tablets ... which you can now buy for $799 BTW.

The Main Stream media ie NBC, ABC, CBS, and CNN have been caught in so many lies and taking statements out of context when people saw the whole speech that there is no such thing as credible news from the traditional sources.

What lies and who caught them?
What are your political insiders telling you?
Just keep parrotting the same MAGA mantra day in and day out.
Never a shred of proof.
You know better than to argue with us communists, right?

I personally like the media bias site.
Not only does it give the leaning of the source, it gives the degree of factuality of the source.
In the past, while using it, the maggies rage whine about it. I have asked multiple times for them to supply an alternative site for doing such. They have repeatedly remained silent.

Farm, this would be a good time to supply a vetting site that *you* think is better than what has been supplied.
Please supply it.

Newsmax does a great job, but libtards don’t believe it.
You can watch a State of the Union address live and see it in the reporting afterwards.
All fact-check sites do is cover up the truth.

doesn't appear to be a similar Democratic .gov site but i found this interesting
https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/democ...committee-dnc/
Democratic National Committee (DNC) – Bias and Credibility
Reasoning: Propaganda, Numerous Failed Fact Checks
Bias Rating: LEFTFactual Reporting: MIXED
Country: USA
MBFc’s Country Freedom Rating: MOSTLY FREE
Media Type: Organization/Foundation
Traffic/Popularity: Medium Traffic
MBFC Credibility Rating: LOW CREDIBILITY
the DNC seems to have the exact same low credibility rating as the GOP.gov

but then there is this .. the RNC rating
https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/gop-com/

Of course, we’re talking about media here. If the DNC isn’t left, who is? If the RNC isn’t right, who is?
Who knew? EVERYBODY!
Thanks for playing.

Where is that link that specifically shows the veracity of things posted in the media since I don't do newsmax (whatever that is.)

No imagine here. Only an idiot would rely on the mouthpiece without cross checking the claims they make. (Hint hint: fact check site which maggies scorn since they have an admitted aversion to the facts/truth on this site.)

Great circular logic.
*I* trust them since you maggies have revealed that the truth doesn't mean anything to you.
So, on a lighter note,

The Harvard Kennedy School of Misinformation Review, published this, “A survey of expert views on misinformation: Definitions, determinants, solutions, and future of the field.”
From the article, “ Experts leaned strongly toward the left of the political spectrum:
very right-wing (0),
fairly right-wing (0),
slightly right-of-center (7),
center (15),
slightly left-of-center (43),
fairly left-wing (62),
very left-wing (21).”
In other words, the "misinformation experts" are almost exclusively left-wing partisans. This explains a lot, especially since fact-checking and the new censorship tools of "misinformation" and "disinformation" are being used by the left to silence and bully the right.
