The last time I saw Tiger play he hit some real stinkers, the kind you rarely see even the lower ranked players on the tour make.
I do like a comeback, so I want him to play and do well because he has been good for the sport of golf IMHO. Tiger is not one of my favorite players, but I admire his commitment and talent that made him at one time the best player on the planet.

Hope he tries to play. Former champions don't have to register until the day of.

Although I would enjoy seeing Tiger in the hunt I don't think he has a shot at competing with the likes of Rory McIlroy & Jordan Spieth..among others.

I think he has realized he won't catch Jack and no longer has the desire. The body follows the mind.

sort of a shame, because 10 years ago it looked like a sure thing he would surpass Nicklaus.. now, forget it.. I will say that his 2008 US Open victory was one of the greatest wins in sports history.

I don't wish Tiger bad luck, generally speaking.. but I wouldn't mind if in this tournament he fell apart.. shooting low 80's, duffing chip shots.. he could use a dose of reality and humility.. on the other hand, I would love to see him catch fire, and finish top 5 or better.. but just as I wish reality for Tiger, I'm not going to ignore reality.. top 5 will NEVER happen

If Tiger does play, I will be very surprised if they don't show most of his shots (good or bad) even if he entered the last round 12,strokes off the lead. That part annoys me.

Tiger's game has suffered ever since his wife found his hobby phone and chased him down the street trying to beat the shit out of him with his 9 iron.
If the ole lady found my hobby phone, chased me down the street and divorced me, I'm thinking I'd have more time for golf. Which would help my game get better.
Makes you wonder why Tiger hasn't won 25 majors by now, eh?

ironic, actually.. the reason Tiger cheated on his wife, was she didn't pay enough attention to his "niblick"...

Eldrick Tont's last Master's victory was in 2005; he was 29 and at the top of his game. The following year, Earl died, Tiger missed the cut after taking time off to mourn his loss and he's tallied "only" 4 major titles since (Lol, only....four alone would be a handsome total for most pros' entire career, to put things into perspective).
I pulled for Tiger each and every time he teed them up especially in the majors. I tuned in on Saturdays and Sundays IF he was in the hunt. Like most casual golf fans, I knew he was capable of doing something extraordinary.....something we'd never seen before. And his pursuit of Jack's record was intriguing to say the least......
Alas.....that was then and this is now. In nine more months Tiger will turn 40 and the reality is his time has come and gone. Age and injuries have taken their toll and his greatness now is simply a memory.
If he plays The Masters this year, I'll pull for him. But mostly to not embarrass himself any more than what's already occurred this year.

Barefooted Tiger being chased down the road with a golf club by his wife must be one of the most hilarious ironies ever. Prolongus, are you sure it was a 9 iron? I hear he replaced it with a utility club. He does have a tendency to get himself in trouble with tight lies on and off the course.

Fawlty, pretty sure it was an iron...you don't replace a 9 with utility/hybrid. Hope he plays and like others said, he doesn't embarrass himself. Masters TV ratings are always good but with him there, they'll be through the roof if he makes it to the weekend.
