It would be great if all 200 countries could come together and agree on policies that would reduce global warming. However, and until they do, I don't like the idea of being taken over and ruled by communist China, or some other wacko country that benefits greatly from utilizing all their resources regardless of the environmental impact.

I've believe in Climate Charge for years...and watched the people in denil have their say....the artcile forgot to mention something....the cost of all the wasted years NOT doing anything....now the deniers have a extra card to play.....COST....or more important...trying to get in the game to make money off this....nothing with happen until the multi-nationals are positioned to make billions...

I also beleive the climate is changing, the big question I ask is how much of it is due to human activity. 1 percent, 10 percent, 50 percent?
Through the eons, the Planet has gone through extreme climate shifts. Take a look at the Great Lakes. How do you think they got there? They are the result of massive Glasiers encroaching all the way down to the mid USA, carving the basin that now contains the Lakes during a previous ice age. What caused this ice age. Certainly not man.
I heard an interesting pronouncement by a Discovery Science guest. He said that 99.999999 and so on of every species that ever lived is extinct. And, 99.999999 and so on of these became extinct before Humans ever evolved.
It is a fact that one large volcanic eruption can cause more damage in hours than man has caused in 500 years. Would it be a shame that we, as the current occupants of the planet, refused to use the resources at our disposal to live life to the fullest, only to have it all wiped out by one act of nature?

"A Tennessee Fireman's Solution": yes, the house burned. However, the experts have yet to prove it's not a case of spontaneous combustion and demonstratively prove it is a case of arson.

The hysteria over human caused global warming, climate change or the coming ice age is being driven by politics. The die hard socialist utopians want one world government; that's number one on their agenda. The socialists are using environmental concerns to provide a rationale for one world government. The new home for the communists is the green movement. Remember Van Jones, the president's green czar, that had to resign when he was exposed as a Marxist?
The vast majority of green house gases occur naturally. Water vapor is by far the most common green house gas, that's basically the oceans evaporating. Carbon dioxide is number two and the vast majority of it ocurrs naturally. Nature deals with increases in carbon dioxide by increasing plant life that feeds off of carbon dioxide. Man contributes a tiny percentage of the total green house gases. If we reverted to back an eighteenth century life style (pre-industrial revolution) the effect on global temperature would be insignificant.
The movement to dramatically cut human produced greenhouse gases is really a thinly veiled attempt to destroy capitalism and redistribute wealth globally. It is an attempt to take freedom from the private sector and increase power to the government.

Hell yes there is climate change and whatever we do is not going to stop it slow it or reverse it.
Are we in a global waring cycle, probably so but we did not cause it and we are not contributing to it.
It is like thinking you can stop and earthquake or a volcano.
You cannot stop a hurricane or a tornado.
Carbon dioxide is not a pollutant and the earth will survive. .
This is just another contrivance to generate CASH MONEY for those that decide there are enough SUCKERS out there to buy into it.

Happy Earth Day!
If the climate increases more than 4 degrees then detonate a few hundred H-bombs to cool off this rock. Plus we keep the Zero Population Growthers happy.
Checkmate, eco-facists.

Or we can paint the roads and the roof tops white like the secretary of the Energy Department advocates. One of the supposed causes of global warming is cow farts (no I'm not kidding) we could put charcoal filters on all the cow butt holes or put Beano in their food. Think of the green jobs that would generate! Since we humans exhale CO2 every time we breathe we can try to avoid anything that causes heavy breathing.

Hey before long the government will not allow you to eat beef and thus will destroy all cattle to eliminate cow farts. It is all a part of the global healthcare plan. No beef for you!

I propose fart collectors must be worn by every man and animal that farts. I think I will design one and then lobby the government to make it law. Yeah that is the ticket. I can get a government grant from Obama if I promise to kick him back some to his campaign, then I will make it so that the government will give a tax ceredit for each one they purchase plus an additional tax incentive so that the government will actually pay people to purchase as many as there are asshole.
I always knew if you could find a gimmick that suckers would believe in that you could make beaux ceaux bucks. Suckers.
