Best Wireless USB Card

I want to get the fellow board member's opinions on the best USB wireless service. I got AT&T's LG USB wireless modem and it sucks. I lose connection constantly, no device all the time ect ect. I will be returning it. I know that areas you are in have a lot to do with it but this is ridicules. I sm in the cypress area so if any of you are in the same area and have a wireless card is it pretty good for you?

My only experience has been with the devices from Verizon. I have used two types so far and both have worked as advertised. Go to their site. They have a number of different devices to choose from including mobile hotspots.

Currently the T-mobile Rocket Stick is the fastest most reliable device available. Next month tmobile launches HSPA+ which will be even faster.

HSPA+ will offer speeds up to 21mbps

You might check into Clear high speed network (speeds like DSL or cable modem, but wireless), their web site is at:

They provide a very good service within the Dallas - Fort worth areas, but it gets rather skimpy on the outskirts of town and non-existent in the more rural areas. Other than Clear, most people look for coverage of which Verizon has the best in the US.

I have Sprint, and I am not impressed at all. Supposedly 4G everywhere in Metro areas. As I sit right smack dab in the middle of North Dallas. NOPE, no 4G available. Sometimes takes forever to recognize device, etc.

That's my problem. No device then all of a sudden drops off. Not payin 60 s month for service like that.

I can not tell you how many times I finish creating an ad and go to post and BAM, connection dropped, device not found whatever and I have to start all over. I had CLEAR for awhile and it actually was pretty decent, but since I travel it was not always doable.

Best, most reliable service on the market is Verizon Wireless. Multiple equipment options available from single computer USB to multi device wifi hotspot.

2nd option for speed is Clear. Where they work they are very fast. The key is making sure it works where you need it.

Sorry but T-mobile speeds are theory only. No real world application of those speeds are available. The areas where they offer their "3G+" service are so limited it is ridiculous.

Stick with Verizon or clear. Verizon will also have true 4G later this year and next year in many cities at launch.

I get 6.6mbps teathering my rooted vibrant to my iPad. And it will be even faster when I get my G2.

I used to work at Clear as a Field Tech. Get the wireless one has 4G and 3G device, that way if you hit 4G dead zone, then it will switch 3G.

With Verizon, I have Droid 2 cell phone, and I can use it to setup Wifi hotspot.

I am looking into the Clear.net hotspot puck for 55 a month. Until they get their usb sticks supported under Ubuntu Linux, this other device is my best option.
