Many of the so called subsidies that I hear about are standard business deductions that all businesses use. Those are not subsidies. It is totally appropriate to deduct the expenses incurred in making a profit regardless of your industry. I am all for ending all subsidies to any industry that falls outside of that. My only stipulation is that you end all subsidies not just those that companies you don't like get.

You mean like giving energy companies who deal in gas and oil production subsidies for working on "green energy" when it is in their vested interest to keep green energy from taking their market share?

Surely you mean GE’s CEO Jeffery Immelt who Odumbo appointed as a member to the President's Economic Recovery Advisory Board to ‘counsel’ his crony ass about recovery during the current economic downturn. Or maybe you are referring to Solyndra where Odumbo's cronies took the money and ran.

Yes it would be very interesting if any of the lefties could cite the specific so called subsidies that oil companies get that are not also available to other businesses.
If we want to talk about subsidies lets talk about the subsidy of the Chevy volt where we are paying rich people to buy them with our tax dollars to the tune of 10k each and that is a tax credit and not a deduction. How about GE who paid no taxes and Immelt made a deal to buy the Volt; did he get the tax credits too?
How about the subsidies to the so called green companies that have gone bankrupt even though the government basically gave them a half a billion dollars and provided no jobs. How about the electric car company that took the money and then moved the production of their car that wont last for 200 miles to Finland.
Now take a look at how many people the oil companies employ directly and then how many are employed indirectly and then how many businesses that are mostly small businesses that support these companies and think about where the value lies. Now take a look at how much tax dollars are collected by the oil companies and paid to the treasury and how many tax dollars are generated by all the businesses and people that benefit from the existence of the oil companies.
This administration has a novel idea and that is to kill these companies w2hick makes a LOT of sense. Destroy the companies that pay for government leases, pay royalties to the treasury for the oil, gas, and coal that is brought forth from public properties, money that could be used to help the government finance newer sources of energy that would be a future replacement for the resources. NO, this administration wants to kill these cash cows and squeeze the citizens dry.
Now lets take a look at why gas cost so much and you will see the FED buying up US bonds which is just printing money and wala you have over 100 percent inflation thanks to this administrations policies.
I wonder how all the rich liberals are going to fly around the world on their jets when there is no jet fuel to burn. I mean they have to be able to tell people how they are killing the earth and need their private jets to do it. How will Michele be able to take a separate jet to all of their vacations?
Obama is either the dumbest mother fucker, or one smart commie Marxist bastard.
I believe the only dumber ones are the ones that will still follow and support this fool.

If the federal government fails to take every penny of profit from the oil companies, the Democrats call it a subsidy. If the oil companies paid ninety percent in taxes, the liberals would call the remaining ten percent a subsidy. Oil compaines pay enormous taxes, but its just never enough for the socialists.
The federal government should not be spending any money on education, that's up to the states. The federal department of education should be shut down.
