Is there a historic reason why Dallas is such a hot spot to score?

Before I travelled the country for work, I had no idea Dallas was the best place for a man who loves sex to go. You never hear anything about Dallas other than the Cowboys and that Texas is a big red state. Is there a reason why Dallas seems to have more hotties than any other city? Especially why Dallas is so lax in allowing fun? My city of Nashville used to have a ton of fun and they shut it down 100%. They shut down all the spas and strip clubs that had extras. My life is so strange, all of this existed when I was a broke 21 year old. Once I made money to enjoy life, it was all taken away. I'm afraid if I move to Dallas the same thing will happen.

Nashville is a big outdoor church now that raises money from tourism. Im surprised the evangelicals that only have sex to procreate haven't shut down Dallas too. If I had to speculate regarding Dallas action scene, I would assume the oil back in the 1800s brought a lot of money to town which attracted women and it just grew from there. Or maybe because Dallas is so hot during the daytime in the summer, many night scenes opened up since that is when most people go out.

That would be a very interesting topic for a book and would probably require a lot of research and 400+ pages to fully explain the anomaly.
It may date all the way back to 1873 when the north to south Houston and Texas Central Railroad intersected with the east-west Texas and Pacific Railway.That led to a population boom.
Its not ever going away. The major politicians here are bought and paid for by energy companies.
They have other stuff on their plates.

I don't know if Dallas is lax in allowing fun to happen, so much as it may be more like a shortage of officers and/or there are bigger fish to fry.

A few years ago, the office where I worked at in Dallas bordered Garland and Mesquite (not the best of areas). Kids getting off the school bus got into a fight and it spilled into the street, right in front of a passing car. The pissed off driver got out of his car, went in his trunk and started waving a gun at the kids, we called 911.... 2 hours later, an officer shows up to get our managers statement.

I just don't think they have the man power to enforce much in certain areas. Independent ladies aren't a priority.

It's extremely lax compared to other cities like Nashville where strip clubs have no nudity. You may have confused my lax statement to crime in general. I'm just talking about adult fun with hot women.

Quite interesting. Well worth the read. Bottom line, apart from the interesting history in the article, is that it’s not worth the trouble to stop prostitution, and it is incredible difficult to stop internet based prostitution in any event. So you just drive business from one venue to another. Police have limited resources, and elect to use them elsewhere.

I don't know what the crime rate is in Tennessee, particularly Nashville and Memphis compared to here. However, I think there would be an uproar here if the headlines contained major stories about AMPS and web-based escorts being busted.

Meanwhile, murders, robberies, violent beatings, muggings, burglaries, animal cruelty, home invasions and child abuse just continued on and on while the cops focus on busting hookers. Hell, they can't even get people to stop throwing out trash on the highways no matter how many country stars sing "Don't Mess with Texas."

Shit, there are usually several high speed chases almost every night in Dallas. Most of them don't even make the news. If they can't get a camera crew there, then there's a good chance you won't even hear about it.
Plus the cartels go about their business, quietly and professionally and it's rare that they are disrupted.
So my point is, I think LE really has bigger fish to fry around here. These are tough fish to catch too. Focusing on misdemeanor crimes would not be accepted very long.
