Son in law Jared Kushner under investigation
The MAGA cult has been covering the Hunter Biden conviction for improper gun registration like a wet blanket. He is the son of President Biden.
Yet they ignore the activities of Jared Kushner, who rakes in over $ 70 million per year in fees from foreign governments. He is the son in law of former president Trump.
Finally someone is going to take a look at them.
Senate Finance Committee Chair Ron Wyden announced the probe on Wednesday, saying that the panel would investigate the billions of dollars that Affinity Partners manages from foreign sources.
Kushner started Affinity in July 2021, less than six months after leaving the White House as a senior adviser to former President Donald Trump. The firm quickly attracted big-time investors from the Middle East and within weeks, landed $2 billion from the Saudi public investment fund.
"It is deeply concerning that several Middle Eastern governments are using funds managed by Affinity as a means to pay tens of millions of dollars in fees every year to former President Trump's son-in-law.
Affinity has disclosed to regulators that 99 percent of the $3 billion of assets that the firm manages come from non-U.S. persons.
"As the founder and sole owner of Affinity, Kushner is the biggest beneficiary of the fees paid to Affinity by the Saudi PIF and other Gulf state clients," Wyden wrote.
During his time at the White House, Kushner advised his father-in-law on foreign affairs, advocating for the Trump administration to embrace Saudi Arabia.
"The Saudi PIF's decision to invest $2 billion in Affinity so soon after Kushner's departure from the Trump White House raises concerns that the investment was a reward for official actions Kushner took to benefit the Saudi government.
He continued, "Moreover, in the final two weeks of the Trump Administration, Mr. Kushner traveled to Saudi Arabia purportedly on official business—even though any reasonable window for meaningful foreign policy achievements would have closed with an upcoming inauguration of a new President."
Wyden expressed concern that Kushner's "limited track record as an investor, including his nonexistent experience in private equity or hedge funds, raise questions about the fees that Affinity receives from the Saudi PIF and other sovereign wealth funds."

No surprise. He and Ivanka have been wisely distancing themselves from Trump for a while. Why not distance yourself from someone under heavy scrutiny when you can just indirectly act like you have no part of any potential wrongdoings and can just lay low? Unfortunately for them, you can't simply wash off the Donald Trump stink and certainty not when you greatly benefit financially from his funky smell.

Yep. This is absolute bullshit. This is what it would look like for Hunter in a MAGA world.

Excellent news. I wish they'd started earlier.

Oh dear!
You're right - Jared has a limited track record as an investor/asset manager. Now he has a chance to prove himself, thanks to some big bucks from his Mideast pals.
How come none of WD's links reveal anything about Affinity Partners' actual investment performance? I'm pretty sure if Jared's firm doesn't perform, the Saudis and other investors won't hesitate to yank their money out.
It appears to me Jared has a REAL BUSINESS going here. Betcha he's hired some smart people to help pick stocks & bonds and generate a positive return to his investors.
Let's compare that to Hunter Biden's business model. Which is - solicit and extort money from corrupt foreign sources, launder it through a maze of phony shell companies, then blow it all on hookers and drugs without paying a dime in taxes on the "income".
Jared Kushner exceeded my expectations when he negotiated the Abraham Accords. That was squarely in our national interest. Biden & Co. could have built on this progress. Instead, they reversed everything and stupidly pretended Iran is our friend.
Everywhere you look, Biden's foreign policy is a disaster. I don't give a flying fuck if Jared is now managing a couple of billions for the Saudi Sovereign Wealth Fund. Good for him. It means if Trump is re-elected, we'll have a foot in the door with a key Mideast player.

... And then the middle east will be buying American oil!
... Odd that I didn't see this "Jared Kushner investigation" news
anywhere else... Usually the "big" investigations are ALL OVER
the news. ... Any accusations of criminal activity by Jared
from The Congress??

I hate to say it but I’m going to have to agree with lustylad on this point. Jared Kushner used his job to make connections with foreign players all over the middle east. After his job ended he used those foreign contacts to help him get an investment fund up and running. There is nothing illegal about that. Unethical maybe, but not illegal as far as I know.
They can investigate all they want and I hope that Jared and Affinity Partners cooperates as much as possible with out revealing private information about their clients. Hopefully people will come to realize that congress investigating family members of politicians should not be a partisan exercise. I don’t think that it’s the mission of congress to punish their political rivals by persecuting their families. It’s a disgrace what they did to Hunter Biden regardless of his guilt or innocence. From the shop owner to Giuliani to congress itself it was nothing more than a witch hunt designed to embarrass and hurt the president.
By extension I’m uncomfortable with the apparent fact that the republican congress and their supporters in the media are waging a revenge tour against people like Dr. Fauci, Merrick Garland and Alejandro Mayorkas just for doing their jobs.
I looked for a wagging finger emoji but I couldn’t find one. So I’ll just have to say emphatically Shame Shame Shame on them all.
